Abstract

The background of this research was due to the low activity of students regarding information literacy during clasroom learning. AS a solution to overcome this problem, SFE learning model is used which is one of the learning models of cooperative learning. Student Facilitator & Explaining (SFE) is an active learning model where students find and explain material independently to their friends using learning media, one of which is a mind map, with the aim that learning is more interesting and students can train information literacy skills they. The research method used in this study is using the Classroom Action Research method with a cycle of 2 cycles and 2 actions. The results of the study obtained about the activity of information literacy skills in the pre-cycle obtained by 45% with the category "enough", in the first cycle of action I increased by 57.93% with the category of "good", cycle 1 of action II got a percentage of 60.36 % with the category of "good", then in cycle 2 student activity has increased by 74.88% with very good category, in action II students get a value of 8.60%. So with this, it can be concluded that the SFE learning model can improve information literacy skills in terms of student activity.
