Abstract

INDONESIA Kentang (Solanum tuberosum L.) merupakan komoditas yang memiliki potensi tinggi, dan bagian program diversifikasi pangan sebagai sumber karbohidrat non beras. Kebutuhan kentang cenderung meningkat dan diimbangi dengan permintaan bibit kentang dengan kualitas unggul. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendapatkan bibit kentang unggul serta menetapkan konsentrasi paclobutrazol dan sukrosa yang efektif dalam menginduksi ubi kentang melalui teknik in vitro. Penelitian dilakukan di Laboratorium Terpadu, Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung pada bulan Maret sampai Agustus 2017. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis data deskriptif berdasarkan data hasil penelitian terhadap parameter pengamatan yang dilakukan. Rancangan perlakuan terdiri dari dua faktor. Faktor pertama yaitu paclobutrazol dengan konsentrasi (0 ppm, 1 ppm, 5 ppm dan 10 ppm) dan faktor kedua sukrosa dengan konsentrasi (60 gram L-1, 90 gram L-1, 120 gram L-1 dan 150 gram L-1). Parameter penelitian mengenai presentase eksplan hidup, tinggi tunas, jumlah tunas, panjang akar, jumlah daun, persentase ubi yang terbentuk dan jumlah bunga. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan konsentrasi paclobutrazol 10 ppm dan sukrosa konsentrasi 60 gram L-1 mampu membentuk bunga pada kentang melalui teknik in vitro. ENGLISH Potatoes (Solanum tuberosum L.) are commodities which have a high potential and it’s a part of food diversification program as carbohydrate source non-rice. Potatoes needs tended to increase and balance with best quality potatoes seed demand. The purposes of this research are to get rooting phase so that we would got the best potatoes seed and contend paclobutrazol and sucrosa concentration effectively to induct potatoes with in vitro technic. This research had been done at Laboratorium, State Islamic University of Bandung from March to August 2017. This research was using descriptive analysis data based on a result of the research for observation parameter that been done. Treatment programs consist of first factor, that is, paclobutrazol with concentration (0 ppm, 1 ppm, 5 ppm and 10 ppm) and second factor, sucrosa with concentration (60 g L-1, 90 g L-1, 120 g L-1 and 150 g L-1). Parameter of research about life explants presentation, bud’s height, amount of buds, root’s length, amount of leafs, potatoes presentation that formed and amount of flowers. The result of the research shows that 10 ppm paclobrutazol’s concentration and 60 gram L-1 sucrosa’s consentration able to form flowers the best concentration’s for potatoes with in vitro technic.
