Abstract

INDONESIA Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan temuan permasalahan yang terjadi di kelas IV MIN 2 Kota Bandung, sebagian siswa tidak bersemangat dan sulit dalam memahami pelajaran sehingga hasil belajar siswa masih di bawah KKM. Hal ini disebabkan karena metode yang digunakan kurang bervariatif dan guru lebih mendominasi dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: 1) Hasil belajar siswa sebelum diterapkan metode Market Place Activity pada pembelajaran tematik siswa kelas IV MIN 2 Kota Bandung, 2) Penerapan metode Market Place Activity pada pembelajaran tematik siswa kelas IV MIN 2 Kota Bandung, 3) Hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran tematik setelah diterapkan metode Market Place Activity di kelas IV MIN 2 Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini didasarkan pada pemikiran bahwa hasil belajar siswa ditentukan oleh bnyak faktor salah satunya adalah penerapan metode yang tepat, termasuk metode Market Place Activity. Berdasarkan asumsi tersebut maka dengan penerapan metode Market Place Activity diduga dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV MIN 2 Kota Bandung pada tema 8 Daerah Tempat Tinggalku, Subtema 1 Lingkungan Tempat Tinggalku. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitin ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari dua siklus dengan tahapan meliputi perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes dan observasi. Dilengkapi dengan instrumen berupa RPP, silabus, kisi-kisi soal, lembar soal, lembar observasi guru dan lembar observasi siswa. Analisis data menggunakan metode kualitatif dan metode kuantitatif. Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh bahwa 1) Hasil belajar siswa sebelum diterapkan metode Market Place Activity masih rendah, dengan ketuntasan klasikalnya 3%, dan nilai rata-ratanya 30, masuk kategori kurang, 2) Penerapan metode Market Place Activity aktivitas guru pada siklus I keterlaksanaannya mencapai 85%, masuk kategori baik. Aktivitas guru pada siklus II keterlaksanaannya mencapai 100%, dengan kategori sangat baik. Sedangkan aktivitas siswa pada siklus I masuk kategori baik, dan pada siklus II masuk kategori sangat baik, 3) Hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran tematik setelah diterapkan metode Market Place Activity mengalami peningkatan. Pada siklus I ketuntasan klasikal 53% dengan nilai rata-rata siswa 56 masuk kategori cukup. Sedangkan pada siklus II ketuntasan klasikal 82% dengan nilai rata-rata siswa 76 masuk kategori baik. Dengan demikian, penelitian menggunakan PTK dan metode Market Place Activity dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran tematik.   ENGLISH This research is motivated by the findings of problems that occur in class IV MIN 2 City of Bandung, that students are not enthusiastic and difficult to understand the lessons so that student learning outcomes are still under the KKM. This is because the methods used are less varied and the teacher is more dominant in the learning process. This research was to find out: (1) Student learning outcomes before the Market Place Activity method was applied to thematic learning IV grade students MIN 2 Bandung City, (2) the application of Market Place Activity methods in thematic learning IV class MIN 2 Bandung City, (3) student learning outcomes in thematic learning after applying the Market Place Activity method in class IV MIN 2 Bandung City. This research is based on the idea that student learning outcomes are determined by many factors, one of which is the application of the right method, including the Market Place Activity method. Based on these assumptions, the application of the Market Place Activity method is thought to be able to improve the learning outcomes of class IV students of MIN 2 in Bandung on the theme of 8 areas of my place of residence, sub-theme 1 My Neighborhood. The method used in this study is Classroom Action Research, which consists of two cycles with stages including planning, action, observation and reflection. Data collection techniques used are test and observation. Equipped with instruments in the form of RPP, syllabus, question grid, test sheet, teacher observation sheet and student observation sheet. Data analysis uses qualitative methods and quantitative methods. Based on the data analysis, it was found that (1) Student learning outcomes before applying the Market Place Activity method were still low with 3% classical completeness, and the average value is 30 in the less category (2) Application of Market Place Activity methods Teacher activities in the first cycle of effectiveness reached 85%, in good category. The activities of teachers in the second cycle of implementation reached 100% with very good categories. While the activities of students in cycle I fall into the good category, and the activities of students in cycle II fall into the very good category, (3) Student learning outcomes in thematic learning after applying the Market Place Activity method has increased. In the first cycle of classical completeness 53% with an average value of 56 students entered into enough categories. While in the second cycle of classical completeness 82% with an average value of 76 students entered into the good category. Thus, research using Classroom Action Research and Market Place Activity methods can increase student learning outcomes in Thematic learning.
