Abstract

INDONESIA : Penelitian ini memiliki latar belakang bahwa pembelajaran biologi belum dilaksanakan secara terpadu, yaitu mengaitkan pembelajaran dengan kehidupan sehari-hari yang dapat melatih ingatan, pemahaman dan penyelesaian masalah, serta penerapan keterampilan proses sains (KPS) yang belum diterapkan secara optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui model pembelajaran SETS terhadap peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasy eksperimen (eksperimen semu) dengan desain penelitian control group pretest-posttest design. Instrument yang digunakan adalah soal essay untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan proses sains (KPS) siswa dan angket untuk mengetahui respon siswa dalam belajar IPA. Penelitian dilakukan pada kelas IX D dan IX E MTs Miftahul Falah Bandung dengan pengambilan sampel purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelas yang menggunakan model pembelajaran SETS terhadap peningkatan keterampilan proses sains sebesar 0,74 berkategori tinggi. Kelas tanpa model pembelajaran SETS terhadap peningkatan keterampilan proses sains sebesar 0,43 berkategori sedang. Berdasarkan hasil analisis tes akhir diperoleh pengujian hipotesis tes akhir dengan nilai thitung = 15,24 > ttabel = 2,02 pada taraf signifikan 5%. Keterampilan proses sains (KPS) siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran SETS memiliki rata-rata nilai 84,46 dengan kualifikasi tinggi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan model SETS dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa pada materi perkembangan penduduk dan dampak lingkungan. ENGLISH : This research has a background in which biology learning has not been carried out in an integrated manner, namely linking learning with everyday life that can train memory, understand and overcome problems, and apply science process training that has not been applied optimally. This research aims to study the learning models of Science, Environment, Technology, and Society (SETS) towards improving process skills. The method used is a quasi-experimental (quasi-experimental) research design with a control group pretest-posttest design. The instrument used was an essay problem to study the improvement of student learning processes and a questionnaire to determine student responses in learning science. The study was conducted in class IX D and IX E MTs Miftahul Falah Bandung by taking a purposive sampling sample. The results showed a class that used the SETS learning model to increase students' science process skills by 0.74 in the high category. Whereas the class without SETS learning model towards Increased process skills was 0.43 in the medium category. Based on the results of the final test analysis obtained by the final test hypothesis with a value of t = 15.24> t table = 2.02 at a significant level of 5%. Process skills make students use the SETS learning model has an average value of 84.46 with high qualifications. It can be concluded as learning with the SETS model can improve students' science learning process on population development and environmental improvement material.
