Abstract

plant is a plant reed grasses that can multiply quickly and have a deep and strong roots, the plant is originally from India, this analysis aims to determine the effect of reed plants at curbing soil erosion at East Bandung. Erosion is one of the problems in the agricultural sector where land is a factor of production that can support agricultural activities because if it does not overcome the erosion can erode the organic content contained in the surface soil erosion atas.Pengendalian part to technology that is two mechanically and vegetative. Control mechanically ie physical treatment given to the land and building actions aimed at reducing surface water and erosion and improve soil capability class. Such as the manufacture of bench terraces, patios gulud, terrace credit, individual terraces, a garden terrace, rorak, musla vertical lines of stone, embankment, channel terrace, channel dodger, and drainage canals, while controlling vegetative using plants to reduce erosion such as blocking collisions straight grain -butir rain to the ground. Such as alley cropping system using a strip of grass, ground cover plants among the vines yng Colopogonium Moconoides, Centrosome sp, perdunya crops such as villous Acarisia, Saccharum spontaneum, plant height lamroto gung. The use of reed plants included in erosion control vegetative and found also that the reed plants can withstand the erosion caused by rain and runoff.
