Abstract
INDONESIA: Second Account (akun kedua) instagram menjadi tempat aman yang dipilih mahasiswa untuk mengungkapkan perasaan serta menyampaikan keluh kesah terkait dunia perkuliahan, karena hanya orang – orang terpilih saja yang dapat membaca dan menanggapi hal tersebut. Fenomena ini dalam istilah Psikologi dikenal dengan self-disclosure. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah terdapat pengaruh self-disclosure terhadap tingkat stres akademik pada mahasiswa pengguna second account instagram. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan kuantitatif kausalitas dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 100 mahasiswa aktif yang berkuliah di kota Bandung dengan rentan usia 18 – 25 tahun dan merupakan pengguna second account instagram. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik convenience sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner melalui google form dengan instrumen alat ukur Self-disclosure dan Perceptions of Academic Stress Scale. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu terdapat pengaruh self-disclosure terhadap tingkat stres akademik pada mahasiswa pengguna second account instagram sebesar 26,6%. ENGLISH: The second account of Instagram is a safe place for students to express their feelings and express complaints related to the world of lectures, because only selected people can read and respond to this. This phenomenon in Psychology is known as self-disclosure. This study aims to see if there is an effect of self-disclosure on the level of academic stress in students who use Instagram second accounts. This study uses a causality quantitative design with the research subject as many as 100 active students studying in the city of Bandung with a vulnerable age of 18 – 25 years and are second account users of Instagram. Sampling was done using convenience sampling techniques. Data collection uses a questionnaire through Google Form with Self-disclosure and Perceptions of Academic Stress Scale instruments. The result of this study is that there is an effect of self-disclosure on the level of academic stress in students who use second accounts of Instagram by 26.6%.
