Abstract

INDONESIA: Perilaku merokok pada remaja menjadi salah satu masalah kesehatan yang serius di berbagai negara, termasuk Indonesia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh perilaku modeling sosial dan persepsi maskulinitas terhadap perilaku merokok pada remaja. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif kausalitas dengan purposive sampling. Subjek penelitian ini melibatkan 135 responden yang merupakan siswa SMA PGII 2 Bandung. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk variabel perilaku merokok adalah Merokok Aritonang Scale, untuk variabel modeling orang tua adalah Modeling Rotter Scale dan untuk variabel maskulinitas adalah Male Role Norms Inventory–Short Form (MRNI-SF). Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji asumsi klasik dengan lBM Statistic 26. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perilaku modeling sosial dan persepsi maskulinitas berpengaruh positif terhadap perilaku merokok pada remaja. Artinya, semakin tinggi tingkat perilaku modeling sosial dan persepsi maskulinitas pada remaja, semakin tinggi pula kecenderungan perilaku merokok. ENGLISH: Smoking behavior among teenagers is a serious health problem in various countries, including Indonesia. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of social modeling behavior and perceptions of masculinity on smoking behavior in adolescents. The research method used is a quantitative causality approach with purposive sampling. The subjects of this research involved 135 respondents who were students of SMA PGII 2 Bandung. The instrument used for the smoking behavior variable is the Aritonang Smoking Scale, for the parental modeling variable is the Rotter Modeling Scale and for the masculinity variable is the Male Role Norms Inventory–Short Form (MRNI-SF). Data analysis was carried out using the classic assumption test with IBM Statistics 26. The results showed that social modeling behavior and perceptions of masculinity had a positive effect on smoking behavior in adolescents. This means that the higher the level of social modeling behavior and perceptions of masculinity in adolescents, the higher the tendency for smoking behavior.
