Abstract

Body goals menjadi standar kecantikan seseorang sehingga membuat remaja membandingkan tubuhnnya dengan yang ada di Instagram jika fisik mereka mendekati body goals maka mereka merasa percaya diri dan menilai dirinya positif begitupun sebaliknya. Penilaian terhadap diri sendiri disebut dengan self esteem. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self esteem dengan body image pada remaja putri followers body goals di instagram. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode korelasional. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah remaja putri yang mengikuti grup “Official baby demon”. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah random sampling dengan jumlah 100 sampel. Hasil penelitian, diketahui bahwa terdapat hubungan antara self esteem dengan body image dengan nilai sebesar 0.781 yang termasuk dalam kategori yang tinggi dengan korelasi positif. Koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,609. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi self esteem seseorang maka semakin tinggi pula body image yang dimilikinya, begitupun sebaliknya. Body goals become the standard of one's beauty so that teens compare their bodies with those in Instagram if their physical approaching body goals then they feel confident and judge themselves positive as well vice versa. Self-assessment is called self esteem. The purpose of this study to determine the relationship between self esteem with body image in adolescent girls followers body goals in instagram. The method used in this research is correlation method. Subjects in this study are young women who follow the group "Official baby demon". The sampling technique used is random sampling with 100 samples. Result of research, it is known that there is relation between self esteem with body image with value equal to 0,781 which included in high category with positive correlation. The coefficient of determination is 0.609. Thus it can be concluded that the higher one's self esteem the higher the body image it has, vice versa.
