Abstract
The purpose of the research is to analyze what kinds of Pancasila student profile are integrated into the textbook and how they are represented. The research also analyzes the representation of the Pancasila student profile in the listening section of the English textbook entitled “English for Nusantara SMP/MTs Kelas VIII”. The research uses a qualitative method with document analysis techniques. The research data are six audios of the listening section, categorized into three categories: easy, medium, and difficult. The results show that the English for Nusantara SMP/MTs Kelas VIII textbook contains five out of six dimensions of the Pancasila student profile. The dimensions found in the textbook are dimension of believing in the fear of God and having noble character, independence, mutual cooperation, global diversity, and creativity. The textbook is dominated by the dimension of believing in the fear of God and having noble character. In contrast, the dimension not found in the textbook is the dimension of critical reasoning. To conclude, the textbook integrates Pancasila student profile values by emphasizing the dimension of believing in the fear of God and having noble character. However, the absence of a critical reasoning dimension indicates that the textbook needs to be improved to make the integration of profiles in the textbook meaningful.
