Abstract

INDONESIA: Permintaan terhadap mentimun yang cukup tinggi tidak diimbangi dengan jumlah produksi yang cukup, sehingga kebutuhan mentimun di pasaran belum mencukupi produksi dalam negeri. Turunnya jumlah produksi mentimun disebabkan oleh menurunnya produktivitas tanah dan juga menurunnya sifat fisik dan kimia di dalam tanah yang disebabkan penggunaan pupuk anorganik secara terus menerus. Salah satu cara untuk mengatasi masalah ini yaitu menggunakan pupuk organik ampas kopi dan tepung tulang ayam sebagai alternatif yang dapat meningkatkan produktivitas tanaman mentimun secara berkelanjutan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kombinasi ampas kopi dengan tepung tulang ayam terhadap efisiensi penggunaan pupuk NPK, pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman mentimun (Cucumis sativus L.). Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan 14 perlakuan dengan 3 kali ulangan dengan setiap ulangan terdapat 2 unit percobaan meliputi kontrol, NPK 100%, perlakuan ampas kopi (AK), tepung tulang ayam (TTA), dan kombinasi keduanya dengan variasi dosis NPK (0%, 25%, 50%, 75%). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan kombinasi antara ampas kopi dengan tepung tulang ayam tidak memberikan pengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil mentimun. ENGLISH: The high demand for cucumbers is not balanced with sufficient production, so the domestic supply of cucumbers in the market is still inadequate. The decrease in cucumber production is caused by declining soil productivity and the reduction of physical and chemical properties in the soil due to continuous use of inorganic fertilizers. One way to address this issue is by using organic fertilizers, such as coffee grounds and chicken bone meal, as alternatives that can sustainably increase cucumber plant productivity. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of combining coffee grounds with chicken bone meal on the efficiency of NPK fertilizer use, growth, and yield of cucumber plants (Cucumis sativus L.). The method used in this study was a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 14 treatments, 3 replications, and 2 experimental units per replication, including control, 100% NPK, coffee grounds (CG), chicken bone meal (CBM), and their combinations with varying NPK doses (0%, 25%, 50%, 75%). The results of the study indicate that the combination treatment of coffee grounds and chicken bone meal did not have an effect on the growth and yield of cucumbers.
