Abstract

This research investigates the improving of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) by utilizing TikTok as a digital application on students' English-speaking skills at Senior High School 3 Banjar, Indonesia. Employing a pre-experimental design, the study assessed students' speaking proficiency through pre-tests, treatments, and post-tests. The research discovered that integrating TikTok within PjBL framework significantly improved students' speaking abilities, evidenced by a gain value of 0.76, categorized as a high improvement. Prior to the intervention, students revealed challenges such as limited vocabulary, grammar errors, and low confidence. Post-intervention results demonstrated enhanced pronunciation, fluency, and motivation. TikTok’s engaging features provided a creative platform for students, effectively reducing anxiety and fostering a fun learning environment. This study contributes to the growing literature on digital media in education and offers practical insights into implementing innovative learning strategies to improve English-speaking skills among students.
