Abstract

Ulat kubis (Plutella xylostella) merupakan hama yang menyerang kubis bunga yang menyerang bagian daun dan bunga sehingga dapat menurunkan kualitas tanaman. Solusi untuk mengendalilkan hama ulat kubis adalah dengan memanfaatkan bahan alami yang dapat dibuat pestisida. Umbi Gadung (Dioscorea hispida L.) dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai pestisida nabati karena mengandung dioscorin dan tannin. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh aplikasi dan konsentrasi paling efektif dan efisien dari ekstrak umbi gadung terhadap populasi dan intensitas hama ulat kubis untuk mempertahanan pertumbuhan dan hasil kubis bunga. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan September 2023 hingga Januari 2024 di Lahan Praktikum Agroteknologi Kampus 2 UIN Sunan Gunung Djati. Metode yang digunakan berupa Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dalam uji in vitro dan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dalam uji in vivo. Konsentrasi pada uji in vitro meliputi: P0 = Kontrol, P1 = Ekstrak umbi gadung 25 mL L -1, P2 = Ekstrak umbi gadung 50 mL L -1, P3 = Ekstrak umbi gadung 75 mL L-1, P4 = Ekstrak umbi gadung 100 mL L-1. Konsentrasi pada perlakuan in vivo meliputi P0 = Kontrol (tidak diaplikasikan pestisida nabati dan tidak diinvestasikan larva uji, P1 = Kontrol (tidak diaplikasikan pestisida nabati dan diinvestasikan 10 larva uji), P2 = Ekstrak umbi gadung 25 mL L-1, P3 = Ekstrak umbi gadung 50 mLL-1, P4 = Ekstrak umbi gadung 75 mL L-1, P5 = Ekstrak umbi gadung 100 mL L-1. Masing-masing perlakuan diinvestasikan 10 larva uji. Hasil uji in vitro dan in vivo menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak umbi gadung berpengaruh terhadap mortalitas, intensitas serangan serta dapat mempertahankan bobot segar dan indeks panen. Ekstrak umbi gadung dengan konsentrasi 50 mL L-1 merupakan perlakuan paling efektif dan efisien untuk mengendalikan serangan Plutella xylostella pada tanaman kubis bunga. Cabbage caterpillar (Plutella xylostella) is a pest that attacks cauliflower. Cabbage caterpillars attack the leaves and flowers of cauliflower plants, which can reduce plant quality. The solution to controlling cabbage caterpillar pests is to utilize natural ingredients that can be made into pesticides. Wild yam (Dioscorea hispida L.) can be used as botanical pesticides because contain dioscorin and tannin. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of application and the most effective concentration of wild yam tuber extract on the population and intensity of cabbage caterpillar pests to maintain the growth and yield of cauliflower. The study was conducted from September 2023 to January 2024 at the Agrotechnology Practical Field, Campus 2, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati. The method used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) in the in vitro test and a Randomized Block Design (RBD) in the in vivo test. Concentrations at in vitro tests include: P0 = Control, P1 = Wild yam tuber extract 25 mL L-1, P2 = Wild yam tuber extract 50mL L-1, P3 = Wild yam tuber extract 75 mL L-1, P4 = Wild yam tuber extract 100mL L-1. Concentrations at in vivo tests include P0 = Control (no botanical pesticidesapplied and no test larvae invested), P1 = Control (no botanical pesticides appliedand 10 test larvae invested), P2 = Wild yam tuber extract 25 mL L-, P3 = Wild yamtuber extract 50 mL L-, P4 = Wild yam tuber extract 75 mL L-1, P5 = Wild yam tuberextract 100 mL L-1. Each treatments invested 10 test larvae.The results of in vitro and in vivo tests showed that Wild yam affected mortality, attack intensity and could maintain fresh weight and harvest index. Wild yam tuber with a concentration of 50 mL L-1 is the most effective and efficient treatment for control Plutella xylostella attacks on cauliflower.
