Abstract

INDONESIA: Literasi lingkungan menjadi sebuah konsep penting dalam pembelajaran abad 21. Tujuan dari literasi lingkungan adalah untuk mengedukasi konsep pelestarian dan peningkatan kondisi lingkungan. Fakta terkini yang terjadi dalam pendidikan di Indonesia abad 21 adalah rendahnya pemahaman literasi lingkungan yang dijelaskan dalam penelitian Firman (2018). Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, penelitian ini ditujukan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi lingkungan siswa melalui pembelajaran menggunakan lembar kegiatan siswa berbasis Predict Observe Explain. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode Pre-Experimental Design one-group pretest-posttest. Data hasil penelitian menunjukkan keterlaksanaan aktivitas pembelajaran dalam ketegori sangat baik, dengan nilai aktivitas guru sebesar 94% dan aktivitas siswa sebesar 91%. Hasil rata-rata respon siswa memperoleh kategori baik dengan nilai persentase sebesar 83%. Berdasarkan data hasil penelitian tersebut, disimpulkan bahwa penerapan lembar kegiatan siswa berbasis Predict Observe Explain efektif meningkatkan literasi lingkungan siswa pada materi pencemaran lingkungan. ENGLISH: Environmental literacy has become an important concept in 21st-century learning. The goal of environmental literacy is to educate the concept of conservation and the improvement of environmental conditions. The current fact occurring in 21st-century education in Indonesia is the low understanding of environmental literacy (Firman, 2018). Based on this background, this research aims to improve students' environmental literacy skills through learning using student activity sheets based on the predict-observe-explain method. This type of research uses a quantitative approach with the Pre-Experimental Design one-group pretest-posttest method. The research data shows that the implementation of learning activities falls into the very good category, with a teacher activity score of 94% and a student activity score of 91%. The N-Gain score in this study is 0.61, categorized as moderate. The average student response score falls into the good category with a percentage value of 83%. Based on these research data, it is concluded that the implementation of student activity sheets based on predict-observe-explain effectively improves students' environmental literacy on the topic of environmental pollution.
