Abstract

ENGLISH : This study examines the relationship between the consumption of positive TikTok content and the learning discipline of PAI Department students from the 2019 cohort at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, particularly in terms of time management, schedule adherence, and academic perseverance. TikTok provides educational and inspirational content; however, its usage intensity presents a dilemma between its benefits and its potential as a learning distraction. The research problems addressed in this study are: (1) What is the intensity of PAI Department students from the 2019 cohort in accessing positive content on TikTok? (2) What is the level of learning discipline among these students? (3) Is there a relationship between the intensity of watching positive TikTok content and learning discipline? The objectives of this study include: (1) Analyzing the intensity of TikTok usage for accessing positive content, (2) Identifying the level of students' learning discipline, and (3) Examining the relationship between the intensity of watching positive TikTok content and learning discipline. This study employs the Uses and Gratifications Theory and Bandura's Social Learning Theory to analyze the relationship between the intensity of watching positive TikTok content and learning discipline. Educational and motivational content has the potential to enhance time management, schedule adherence, and academic perseverance; however, it also poses a risk of distraction. This study evaluates the extent to which consuming positive TikTok content influences students' learning discipline. A quantitative approach with a correlational method is used in this study. The sample is selected through purposive sampling from the 2019 cohort of PAI students. Data is collected through an online questionnaire on TikTok viewing intensity and learning discipline. Data analysis is conducted using validity and reliability tests as well as Pearson Product-Moment correlation analysis to examine the relationship between the two variables. The findings of this study reveal that: (1) PAI 2019 students frequently watch positive TikTok content, particularly educational content; (2) Their learning discipline is relatively good, though still affected by social media distractions; (3) The Pearson correlation test results indicate an r-value of -0.170 with a significance level of 0.388 (>0.05), meaning that there is no significant correlation between the intensity of watching positive TikTok content and learning discipline. Regression analysis also finds that although the frequency of watching TikTok tends to reduce discipline by 0.195 units, its effect is not statistically significant. INDONESIA : Penelitian ini mengkaji hubungan antara konsumsi konten positif TikTok dan kedisiplinan belajar mahasiswa PAI Angkatan 2019 UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, khususnya dalam manajemen waktu, kepatuhan jadwal, dan ketekunan akademik. TikTok menawarkan konten edukatif dan inspiratif, namun intensitas penggunaannya menimbulkan dilema antara manfaat dan potensi distraksi dalam belajar. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah: 1) Bagaimana intensitas mahasiswa Jurusan PAI Angkatan 2019 dalam mengakses konten positif di TikTok? 2) Bagaimana tingkat kedisiplinan belajar mahasiswa Jurusan PAI Angkatan 2019? 3) Apakah terdapat hubungan antara intensitas mahasiswa menonton konten positif di TikTok dengan kedisiplinan dalam belajar? Adapun tujuan penelitian ini meliputi: 1) Menganalisis intensitas penggunaan TikTok untuk mengakses konten positif, 2) Mengidentifikasi tingkat kedisiplinan belajar mahasiswa, serta 3) Mengkaji hubungan antara intensitas menonton konten positif di TikTok dengan kedisiplinan dalam belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Uses and Gratifications serta Pembelajaran Sosial Bandura untuk mengkaji hubungan antara intensitas menonton konten positif di TikTok dan kedisiplinan belajar. Konten edukatif dan motivasional dapat meningkatkan manajemen waktu, kepatuhan jadwal, serta ketekunan akademik, namun juga berpotensi menjadi distraksi. Studi ini mengevaluasi sejauh mana konsumsi konten positif TikTok berpengaruh terhadap kedisiplinan belajar mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Sampel dipilih secara purposive sampling dari mahasiswa PAI Angkatan 2019. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner daring terkait intensitas menonton TikTok dan kedisiplinan belajar. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji validitas, reliabilitas, dan korelasi Pearson Product Moment untuk melihat hubungan antara kedua variabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa: 1) Mahasiswa PAI 2019 sering menonton TikTok konten positif, terutama edukatif; 2) Kedisiplinan belajar cukup baik, namun masih terpengaruh distraksi media sosial; 3) Hasil uji korelasi Pearson menunjukkan nilai r = -0,170 dengan signifikansi sebesar 0,388 (>0,05), yang berarti tidak terdapat korelasi yang signifikan antara intensitas menonton TikTok konten positif dan kedisiplinan belajar. Uji regresi juga menemukan bahwa meskipun frekuensi menonton TikTok cenderung menurunkan kedisiplinan sebesar 0,195 satuan, pengaruhnya tidak terbukti signifikan.
