Abstract
The aim of this research is to find out the use of flash cards effective on students‘ everyday vocabulary at 7th grade of SMPIT Qordova academic year 2023/204.This research was classified as quasi- experimental research. It involved 56 students of two classes. Class VII A as the experimental class and VII D as the control class. The experimental class was taught by using flash cards. The instruments used to collect data in this research was test. The researcher found that there was a significant difference between the students‘ score in experimental class and control class. It was proved by the mean score that the post-test was higher than mean score in the pre-test. In the experimental class, the mean score of pre-test was 71 and the mean score of post-test was 84. While the control class, the mean score of pre-test was 69 and the mean score of post-test was 77. While, both of the classes are improved, the significant improvement happened in experimental class. In addition, the value of the t-test 14,28 was higher than t table 2,021 at the level of significant 0.05 with degree of freedom (df)=54. Based on the result of this research, the researcher concluded that the use of flash cards effective on students‟ vocabulary at 7th grade of SMPIT Qordova academic year 2023/2024.
