Abstract

INDONESIA: Yulfa Rahmadilla. 1212010179. 2025 “Pengaruh Manajemen Waktu Penggunaan Smartphone Terhadap Prestasi Akademik Mahasiswa Penggunaan smartphone di kalangan mahasiswa memiliki dua sisi, yaitu dapat mendukung maupun mengganggu aktivitas akademik. Kemampuan mahasiswa dalam mengelola penggunaan smartphone secara efektif sangat berperan dalam menunjang prestasi akademik. Namun, realita di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa banyak mahasiswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam mengatur waktu penggunaan smartphone, sehingga dapat berdampak pada penurunan kinerja akademik. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pengelolaan waktu yang baik dalam penggunaan smartphone agar tidak menghambat proses belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Mendeskripsikan Manajemen Waktu Penggunaan Smartphone pada Mahasiswa Jurusan Manajemen Pendidikan Islam UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung; (2) Mendeskripsikan Prestasi Akademik Mahasiswa Jurusan Manajemen Pendidikan Islam UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung; (3) Menganalisis Pengaruh Manajemen Waktu Penggunaan Smartphone terhadap Prestasi Akademik Mahasiswa Jurusan Manajemen Pendidikan Islam UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran angket kepada 89 responden. Teknik analisis data meliputi uji instrumen (validitas dan reliabilitas), uji asumsi klasik (normalitas, linearitas, heteroskedastisitas), serta uji hipotesis menggunakan regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor Manajemen Waktu Penggunaan Smartphone sebesar 3,16 termasuk dalam kategori tinggi, sedangkan Prestasi Akademik Mahasiswa memperoleh rata-rata 2,92 juga dalam kategori tinggi. Hasil uji regresi linear sederhana diperoleh nilai konstanta sebesar 25,684 dan koefisien regresi sebesar 0,404, menunjukkan hubungan positif antara kedua variabel. Nilai t hitung sebesar 4,811 lebih besar dari t tabel sebesar 1,662 dengan nilai signifikansi < 0,001, sehingga hipotesis nol ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif diterima. Nilai R Square sebesar 0,210 menunjukkan bahwa 21% variasi Prestasi Akademik Mahasiswa dapat dijelaskan oleh Manajemen Waktu Penggunaan Smartphone, sedangkan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain di luar model penelitian ini. ENGLISH: Yulfa Rahmadilla. 1212010179. 2025. “The Influence of Time Management in Smartphone Use on Students’ Academic Achievement Smartphone use among university students has two sides: it can either support or hinder academic activities. Students’ ability to manage their smartphone usage effectively plays a significant role in supporting academic achievement. However, field realities show that many students struggle to regulate the time they spend using smartphones, which can lead to a decline in academic performance. Therefore, proper time management in smartphone use is necessary to prevent it from disrupting the learning process. This study aims to: (1) Describe the time management of smartphone use among students of the Islamic Education Management Department at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung; (2) Describe the academic achievement of these students; (3) Analyze the influence of time management in smartphone use on their academic achievement. This research employs a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 89 respondents. The data analysis techniques include instrument tests (validity and reliability), classical assumption tests (normality, linearity, and heteroscedasticity), and hypothesis testing using simple linear regression. The results show that the average score for Time Management in Smartphone Use is 3.16, which falls into the high category, while Academic Achievement has an average score of 2.92, also in the high category. The results of the simple linear regression test indicate a constant value of 25.684 and a regression coefficient of 0.404, suggesting a positive relationship between the two variables. The calculated t-value is 4.811, which is greater than the t-table value of 1.662, with a significance level of < 0.001. Thus, the null hypothesis is rejected and the alternative hypothesis is accepted. The R Square value of 0.210 indicates that 21% of the variation in Academic Achievement can be explained by Time Management in Smartphone Use, while the remaining 79% is influenced by other factors outside this research model.
