Abstract

Perkembangan asuransi syariah sekarang ini akan sangat baik jika diiringi dengan perkembangan mekanisme pengelolaan dananya, sehingga lahir inovasi-inovesi produk – produk asuransi syariah yang beragam, salah satunya adalah asuransi syariah unit link. Perkembangan mekanisme pengelolaan dana akan lebih mudah apabila didekati dengan menterjemahkannya ke dalam persamaan matematika dengan tujuan memperjelas mekanisme yang berlaku sehingga informasi yang diterima oleh pemegang polis lebih jelas dan transparan. Ciri khas dari asuransi unit link adalah premi dibagi kedalam dua bagian yaitu kontribusi berkala dan top up berkala. Selanjutnya dari keduanya akan diambil biaya wakalah untuk operasional perusahaan dan dana investasi. Dana investasi pemegang polis merupakan penjumlahan dari dana investasi pada kontribusi berkala dan top up berkala. Hasil investasi yang diperoleh akan di kurangi biaya tabarru, biaya pengelolaan investasi, dan sisanya akan untuk pemegang polis. Penyajian data ilustrasi produk dapat berlembar-lembar sehingga ada beberapa informasi yang kurang difahami. Oleh karena itu dirancang bentuk baru ilustrasi produk asuransi unit link dengan studi kasus PruLInk Syariah Edu Protection dari PT Prudential dengan harapan ilustrasi produk bisa menjadi lebih jelas dan transparan sehingga informasi yang diperoleh pemegang polis dapat mudah dipahami. The development of sharia insurance will now be very good if it is accompanied by the development of fund management mechanism, so that innovation-innovation of Islamic insurance products are diverse, one of which is Takaful unit link insurance. The development of fund management mechanisms will be easier when approached by translating them into mathematical equations in order to clarify the mechanisms in place so that information received by policyholders is clearer and transparent. Characteristic of unit link insurance is the premium divided into two parts, namely periodic contributions and periodic top ups. Furthermore, both of them will be taken wakalah costs for the company's operations and investment funds. The policyholder's investment fund is the sum of the investment funds for periodic contributions and periodic top ups. The return on investment will be reduced in tabarru cost, investment management cost, and the rest will be for policyholder. The presentation of product illustration data can be spread out so that some information is not understood. Therefore designed a new form of unit link insurance product with PruLInk Syariah Edu Protection case study from PT Prudential in the hope that product illustration can be more clear and transparent so that the information obtained by the policy holder can be easily understood
