Abstract

Pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) merupakan salah satu komoditas hortikultura bernilai ekonomi tinggi yang banyak dibudidayakan karena tahan terhadap hujan dan mudah dibudidayakan. Namun, dalam praktik budidayanya, tanaman ini kerap mengalami serangan hama daun seperti ulat grayak, kutu hitam, dan lalat penggorok daun, yang berdampak pada penurunan hasil panen. Salah satu pendekatan alami yang dapat diterapkan untuk menekan serangan hama adalah sistem tanam tumpangsari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pola tumpangsari antara pakcoy dan bawang daun terhadap keanekaragaman serangga, pertumbuhan, dan hasil tanaman.Penelitian menggunakan empat perlakuan, yaitu: P1 (monokultur pakcoy), P2 (tumpangsari dengan bawang daun di pinggir), P3 (tumpangsari dengan bawang daun di tengah), dan P4 (monokultur bawang daun). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem tumpangsari belum mampu meningkatkan keanekaragaman serangga. Populasi serangga didominasi oleh jenis hama seperti Aiolopus strepens. Sistem tumpangsari juga belum mampu meningkatkan produktivitas kedua tanaman. Pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) is one of the high economic value horticultural commodities that is widely cultivated because it is resistant to rain and easy to grow. However, in cultivation practices, this plant often suffers from leaf pest attacks such as armyworms, flea beetles, and leaf miners, which lead to decreased yields. One natural approach that can be applied to reduce pest attacks is the intercropping system. This study aimed to determine the effect of intercropping patterns between pak choi and scallions on insect diversity, plant growth, and yield. The research used four treatments, namely: P1 (pakcoy monoculture), P2 (intercropping with scallions on the edges), P3 (intercropping with scallions in the middle), and P4 (scallion monoculture).The results showed that the intercropping system was not yet able to increase insect diversity. The insect population was dominated by pest species such as Aiolopus strepens. The intercropping system was also not yet able to increase the productivity of either crop.
