Abstract
INDONESIA: Penggunaan pupuk anorganik secara berlebihan dapat mengurangi tingkat kesuburan tanah, sehingga produksi mentimun kyuri menurun. Kesuburan tanah yang menurun dapat diperbaiki dengan tepung tulang ayam yang kaya akan kalsium dan fosfor, sehingga dapat meningkatkan produksi mentimun kyuri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respons pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman mentimun kyuri (Cucumis sativus L.) terhadap pemberian tepung tulang ayam. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ialah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 5 taraf perlakuan (Kontrol, 2 t ha-1, 4 t ha-1, 6 t ha-1 dan 8 t ha-1 tepung tulang ayam) dengan 5 kali ulangan dan 2 unit perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian tepung tulang ayam dengan dosis 4 t ha-1 merupakan perlakukan yang terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman mentimun kyuri (Cucumis sativus L.). ENGLISH: Excessive use of inorganic fertilizers can reduce soil fertility, leading to a decline in kyuri cucumber production. The decreased soil fertility can be improved by using chicken bone meal, which is rich in calcium and phosphorus, thereby enhancing kyuri cucumber production. This study aims to determine the growth response and yield of kyuri cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) to the application of chicken bone meal. The method used in this research was a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with 5 treatment levels (Control, 2 t ha⁻¹, 4 t ha⁻¹, 6 t ha⁻¹, and 8 t ha⁻¹ of chicken bone meal), with 5 replications and 2 treatment units. The results showed that the application of 4 t ha⁻¹ chicken bone meal was the most effective treatment for the growth and yield of kyuri cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.).
