Abstract

INDONESIA: Penggunaan pupuk kimia secara terus-menerus dapat menurunkan kualitas tanah dan efisiensi penyerapan unsur hara oleh tanaman. Tithonia diversifolia mengandung unsur hara makro yang tinggi dan berpotensi dijadikan pupuk organik cair (POC) untuk menggantikan sebagian pupuk kimia. POC paitan berperan dalam memperbaiki struktur tanah, meningkatkan serapan hara, dan mengurangi ketergantungan pada pupuk kimia dalam budidaya jagung manis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui POC Paitan dalam mengurangi penggunaan pupuk kimia dan meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung manis. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok yang terdiri dari 5 perlakuan 5 kali ulangan, perlakuan yang diberikan sebagai berikut :A = Urea 4,93 g, SP-36 2,11 g, dan KCL 1,6 g, B = 1.200 ml POC, C= 900 ml POC + Urea 1,24 g, SP-36 0,53 g, KCL 0,4 g, D = 600 ml POC + Urea 2,5 g, SP-36 1,1 g, KCL 0,9 g, E= 300 ml POC + Urea 3,75 g SP-36 1,62 g, KCL 1,1 g. Hasil penelitian ini POC Paitan dalam mengurangi penggunaan pupuk kimia memberikan perngaruh yang berbeda nyata signifikan terhadap tinggi tanaman dan diameter batang, tetapi tidak memberikan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap berat tongkol berkelobot dan tanpa kelobot, indeks panen dan derajat kemanisan tanaman jagung manis. Dosis optimal POC Paitan dalam mengurangi penggunaan pupuk kimia terdapat pada perlakuan C (75% POC + 25% NPK), yang menunjukkan Relatif Agronomic Effectiveness (RAE) tertinggi yaitu 107,32%. ENGLISH: Continuous use of chemical fertilizers can reduce soil quality and the efficiency of nutrient absorption by plants. Tithonia diversifolia contains high macronutrients and has the potential to be used as liquid organic fertilizer (POC) to replace some chemical fertilizers. Paitan POC plays a role in improving soil structure, increasing nutrient absorption, and reducing dependence on chemical fertilizers in sweet corn cultivation. The purpose of this study was to determine Paitan POC in reducing the use of chemical fertilizers and increasing the growth and yield of sweet corn plants. This study used a Randomized Block Design consisting of 5 treatments with 5 replications, the treatments given were as follows: A = Urea 4.93 g, SP-36 2.11 g, and KCL 1.6 g, B = 1,200 ml POC, C = 900 ml POC + Urea 1.24 g, SP-36 0.53 g, KCL 0.4 g, D = 600 ml POC + Urea 2.5 g, SP-36 1.1 g, KCL 0.9 g, E = 300 ml POC + Urea 3.75 g SP-36 1.62 g, KCL 1.1 g. The results of this study showed that Paitan POC in reducing the use of chemical fertilizers had a significantly different effect on plant height and stem diameter, but did not have a significant effect on the weight of cobs with and without husks, harvest index and degree of sweetness of sweet corn plants. The optimal dose of Paitan POC in reducing the use of chemical fertilizers was in treatment C (75% POC + 25% NPK), which showed the highest Relative Agronomic Effectiveness (RAE) of 107.32%.
