Abstract

INDONESIA : Kasus fatherless membuat anak perempuan yang telah bertumbuh menjadi dewasa khawatir dalam menghadapi pernikahan, mereka seringkali menjadikan Ayahnya sebagai acuan untuk menilai perilaku baik dan buruk seorang laki-laki. Terkait dengan preferensi dalam memilih pasangan hidup, peran orang tua sangatlah penting untuk memberikan arahan dalam proses pemilihan calon pasangan hidup yang tepat untuk anak perempuannya. Bagi wanita dewasa awal, harapan dan keinginan dalam memilih calon pasangan hidup seringkali dipengaruhi oleh pengalaman masa lalu, termasuk pengalaman fatherless. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran pemilihan preferensi calon pasangan hidup pada wanita dewasa awal yang mengalami fatherless. Peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi dengan 3 orang subjek utama, disertai 3 significant others. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner sebagai screening pengalaman fatherless, teknik wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Peneliti menemukan, pengalaman fatherless memengaruhi cara pandang dan ekspektasi ketiga subjek, termasuk memilih pasangan dengan kriteria yang mampu mengisi kekosongan peran Ayah di masa lalu. ENGLISH : The fatherless experience significantly impacts adult women's anxiety regarding marriage, as they often reference their fathers to evaluate good and bad men's behaviors. Parental influence is crucial in guiding daughters toward selecting appropriate life partners. For young adult women, their hopes and desires in choosing a partner are shaped by past experiences, particularly the absence of a father figure. This study aims to explore partner selection preferences among young adult women who have experienced fatherlessness. Utilizing a qualitative, phenomenological approach, the research involved three main subjects and three significant others. Data were gathered through questionnaires as screening to assess fatherless experiences, alongside interviews, observations, and documentation. Findings indicate that the fatherless experience profoundly influences the subjects' perspectives and expectations, leading them to seek partners who can fill the emotional void left by their absent fathers. This research highlights the long-term effects of fatherlessness on relationship choices in adulthood.
