ENGLISH : Parental divorce can have a significant psychological impact on children, one of which is the emergence of self-harm behavior. Self-harm behavior appears as a way to vent negative emotions such as sadness, anger, or feelings of helplessness. This study aims to determine how individuals who engage in self-harm due to parental divorce develop self-acceptance. The method used was qualitative with an interpretive phenomenological approach. The research subjects were individuals who had engaged in self-harm and came from families whose parents were divorced. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documents. The results show that the self-acceptance process progresses through several stages: depression, anger, denial, bargaining, and acceptance. Factors that contribute to this self-acceptance process are support from others, time, and the individual's desire to improve themselves. The conclusion of this study is that self-acceptance is important in helping individuals recover from negative emotions due to parental divorce and self-harming behavior.
