Abstract
INDONESIA Radiasi adalah pancaran energi dari suatu sumber, baik yang berupa gelombang seperti cahaya ataupun sebagai partikel-partikel yang bergerak seperti sinar alfa, beta, gamma. Diperlukan detektor radiasi untuk mendeteksi ada atau tidaknya radiasi. Detektor yang dipakai ada dua jenis, yaitu detektor HPGe dan detektor NaI(Tl). Penelitian ini, yaitu menghitung nilai efisiensi dari kedua detektor dengan mencacah sampel radiasi yang terdiri dari tanah, air, dan organ hewan iksan (organ dalam, tulang, dan daging) dan menentukan detektor mana yang paling efisien dari hasil pencacahan tersebut. Kesemua sampel dicacah sebanyak lima kali untuk setiap detektornya. Pada detektor HPGe waktu pencacahannya selama 600 detik. Sedangkan, pada NaI(Tl) pencacahannya selama 60 detik. Hasil efisiensinya dari kedua detektor, untuk detektor NaI(Tl); tanah (Co-60 sebesar 10,9%, Cs-134 sebesar 19,97 %), air (Co-60 sebesar 4,38%, Cs-134 sebesar 6,74%), organ hewan iksan (bagian dalam Co-60 sebesar 2,87%, bagian daging Co-60 sebesar 2,78%, dan bagian tulang Co-60 sebesar 2,66%), sumber standar radioaktif (Am-241 sebesar 0,56%, Cs-137 sebesar 0,029%, dan Co-60 sebesar 0,27%). Hasil efisiensi setiap sampel menggunakan detektor HPGe; tanah (Co-60 sebesar 3,6%, Cs-134 sebesar 3,21%), water (Co-60 sebesar 1,58%, Cs-134 sebesar 1,11%), fish animal organs (organ dalam Co-60 sebesar 0,99%, bone Co-60 sebesar 0,97%, and meat Co-60 by 0,99%), the standard radioactive source (Am- 241 at 0.29%, Cs-137 at 0.0127%, and Co-60 at 0.11%). From the results of both detectors, indicates that the detector NaI(Tl) is more efficient. ENGLISH Radiation is energy emitted from a source, either in the form of waves such as light or as particles that move like ray alpha, beta, gamma. Radiation detectors required to detect the presence or absence of radiation. Detectors are used, there are two types, namely the HPGe detector and the detector NaI(Tl). The purpose of this study, which calculates the value of the efficiency of the two detectors with radiation chopping samples consisting of soil, water, fish and animal organs (internal organs, bones, and meat) and determine which are the most efficient detector of the enumeration results. All of the samples enumerated five times from each detector. At the time of enumeration HPGe detector for 600 seconds. Meanwhile, the NaI(Tl) enumeration for 60 seconds.
