Advertisement defines as notice or announcement in a public medium in promoting a product, service, event, or publicizing a job vacancy. Advertisement can be anywhere, it can be in the radio, the newspaper, internet, and certainly television. In many industries, especially food and beverages, there are so many advertisements which used to help the company markets their product. Moreover, advertisement also has a significant role to persuade people. Representation is the formation of reality in medium of any social construction of meaning and values which is used by a group of people in a culture. Youth is the form of culture, which defines youth as a period when children grow into adults. Youth is often determined as a person between the ages of 15 and 24 years old, where he or she may leave compulsory education, and the age at which he or she finds his or her first employment. The study in this research is beng-beng television advertisements. The aim of this study is to convey certain messages, and sometimes a symbol which insist in advertisement used to support the delivery of those messages to people who watch the advertisement. The methodology which used is qualitative, applying descriptive techniques. Theories which used in this research are Barthes’ three orders of signification and Dyer’s visual elements. Methods for gathering data including is observation the advertisements on YouTube. The research yielded the following findings: there are three ideologies which reflected in youth representation in those advertisements of beng-beng, namely freedom, hedonism, and homebody.
