Abstract

INDONESIA: Kasus kekerasan seksual masih menjadi isu sosial yang kompleks di Indonesia, termasuk yang melibatkan tenaga medis. Salah satunya adalah kasus kekerasan seksual oleh dokter residen (PPDS) di Rumah Sakit Hasan Sadikin (RSHS) Bandung yang menyita perhatian publik. Media online, sebagai saluran utama penyebaran informasi, berperan penting dalam membentuk narasi dan opini masyarakat mengenai isu ini. Namun, cara media membingkai pemberitaan seringkali menentukan bagaimana publik memahami peristiwa dan menilai pihak-pihak terkait. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana TribunJabar.id membingkai pemberitaan kasus kekerasan seksual oleh dokter residen di RSHS Bandung melalui analisis framing Robert N. Entman. Empat aspek framing yang diteliti meliputi pendefinisian masalah (define problems), diagnosis penyebab (diagnose causes), penilaian moral (make moral judgement), serta rekomendasi solusi (treatment recommendation). Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan paradigma konstruktivisme. Data primer berupa delapan artikel berita TribunJabar.id edisi April–Mei 2025, dianalisis menggunakan model framing Entman. Data sekunder diperoleh dari literatur akademik terkait media, berita, kekerasan seksual, dan framing. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa TribunJabar.id menonjolkan aspek tertentu dalam pemberitaan, terutama terkait pelaku, institusi medis, serta respons aparat hukum. Framing yang digunakan turut memengaruhi persepsi publik terhadap kasus ini, baik dalam hal pemahaman masalah, penyebab, maupun penilaian moral terhadap pelaku. ENGLISH: Cases of sexual violence remain a complex social problem in Indonesia, including those involving medical professionals. One case that drew significant public attention was the sexual violence committed by a medical resident (PPDS) at Hasan Sadikin Hospital (RSHS) in Bandung. Online media, as the primary channel of information dissemination, plays an important role in shaping narratives and public opinion on such issues. The way media frame their reporting often determines how the public understands the events and evaluates the actors involved. This study aims to examine how TribunJabar.id framed its reporting on the sexual violence case involving a medical resident at RSHS Bandung, using Robert N. Entman’s framing analysis. The analysis focused on four elements: defining problems, diagnosing causes, making moral judgments, and offering treatment recommendations. The research employed a qualitative approach within a constructivist paradigm. Primary data consisted of eight news articles published by TribunJabar.id between April and May 2025, analyzed through Entman’s framing model. Secondary data were drawn from academic literature on media, news, sexual violence, and framing. The findings indicate that TribunJabar.id highlighted specific aspects of the case, particularly concerning the perpetrator, the medical institution, and the responses of law enforcement. The framing used significantly influenced public perception of the issue, from problem identification to moral evaluation of the perpetrator.
