Abstract
Tanah bertekstur liat memiliki struktur fisik yang padat dan kemampuan drainase yang rendah. Tanaman mentimun memerlukan kondisi tanah yang subur dengan kadar air yang cukup agar dapat tumbuh dengan baik. Bio-charcoal (Biochar) dan pupuk hayati mikoriza adalah bahan yang dapat digunakan untuk memperbaiki kualitas tanah. Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas dari pemberian biochar sekam padi dengan pupuk hayati mikoriza dalam perbaikan sifat.fisik tanah, pertumbuhan.dan hasil tanaman.mentimun serta kombinasi terbaik dalam perbaikan sifat fisik tanah, pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman mentimun. Metode yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan 4 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan, perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu: A = Tanpa pemberian biochar sekan padi dan pupuk hayati FMA; B = Biochar sekam padi 50 g polybag-1 + pupuk hayati mikoriza 20 g polybag-1 ; C = Biochar sekam padi 100 g polybag-1 + pupuk hayati mikoriza 20 g polybag-1 ; dan D = Biochar sekam padi 150 g polybag-1 + pupuk hayati mikoriza 20 g polybag-1. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan aplikasi biochar sekam padi dengan pupuk hayati FMA berpengaruh terhadap perbaikan sifat fisik tanah pada parameter kapasitas lapang, bobot isi, dan porositas tanah serta pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman mentimun pada parameter derajat infeksi akar, tinggi tanaman bobot segar pertanaman. Perlakuan 150 g biochar sekam padi dengan 20 g pupuk hayati FMA merupakan perlakuan terbaik dalam perbaikan sifat fisik tanah serta pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman mentimun (Cucumis sativus L). Clay textured soil has a dense physical structure and low drainage capacity. Cucumber plants require fertile soil conditions with sufficient water content to grow well. Bio-charcoal (Biochar) and mycorrhizal biofertilizer are materials that can be used to improve soil quality. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of providing rice husk biochar with mycorrhizal biofertilizer in improving soil physical properties, growth and yield of cucumber plants and the best combination in improving soil physical properties, growth and yield of cucumber plants. The method used was a Randomized Block Design with 4 treatments and 6 replications, the treatments given were: A = Without providing rice husk biochar and AMF biofertilizer; B = Rice husk biochar 50 g polybag-1 + mycorrhizal biofertilizer 20 g polybag-1; C = Rice husk biochar 100 gpolybag-1 + mycorrhizal biofertilizer 20 gpolybag-1; and D = Rice husk biochar 150 g polybag1 + mycorrhizal biofertilizer 20 g polybag-1. The results showed that the application of rice husk biochar with AMF biofertilizer had an effect on improving soil physical properties in the parameters of field capacity, bulk density, and soil porosity as well as the growth and yield of cucumber plants in the parameters of root infection degree, plant height, fresh weight per plant. The treatment of 150 g rice husk biochar with 20 g AMF biofertilizer was the best treatment in improving soil physical properties as well as the growth and yield of cucumber plants (Cucumis sativus L).
