Abstract
Penelitian ini membahas metode untuk menentukan invers dari matriks blok berukuran 3x3. Matriks blok merupakan representasi matriks yang dipartisi menjadi beberapa blok matriks, sehingga menyederhanakan analisis dan perhitungan, terutama pada matriks berukuran besar. Studi ini berangkat dari tinjauan konsep dasar matriks, matriks blok diagonal, segitiga atas, segitiga bawah, serta invers matriks blok 2x2 sebagai fondasi untuk mengembangkan algoritma invers matriks blok 3x3. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur, dengan mengkaji berbagai referensi mengenai teori aljabar linier, operasi baris elementer, dan sifat-sifat matriks blok. Selanjutnya dilakukan analisis teoretis untuk menurunkan bentuk umum invers matriks blok 3x3 dengan asumsi bahwa blok matriks pada diagonal utama memiliki invers. Proses penurunan dilakukan dengan transformasi matriks augmented dan eliminasi Gauss, sehingga diperoleh formula invers yang melibatkan blok matriks sebagai fungsi dari blok-blok penyusunnya. Hasil penelitian ini menghasilkan rumus umum invers matriks blok 3x3 yang dapat diaplikasikan untuk matriks dengan dimensi beragam, selama syarat nonsingular terpenuhi. Formula yang diperoleh menyederhanakan perhitungan invers dibandingkan dengan metode invers langsung pada matriks besar, karena prosesnya dapat dipecah menjadi perhitungan invers pada blok yang lebih kecil. Contoh numerik diberikan untuk menunjukkan validitas metode dan kesesuaian hasil dengan perhitungan invers konvensional. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan dalam pengembangan metode komputasi matriks, khususnya dalam optimisasi perhitungan pada aljabar linier terapan, analisis numerik, dan pemodelan matematika. This study discusses a method for determining the inverse of a 3x3 block matrix. A block matrix is a representation of a matrix partitioned into several block matrices, simplifying analysis and calculations, especially for large matrices. This study begins with a review of basic matrix concepts, including diagonal block matrices, upper triangular matrices, and lower triangular matrices, as well as the inverse of a 2x2 block matrix as a foundation for developing an inverse algorithm for a 3x3 block matrix. The research method used is a literature study, reviewing various references on linear algebra theory, elementary row operations, and block matrix properties. Next, a theoretical analysis is performed to derive the general form of the inverse of a 3x3 block matrix, assuming that the block matrix on the main diagonal has an inverse. The derivation process is carried out using an augmented matrix transformation and Gaussian elimination, resulting in an inverse formula involving the block matrix as a function of its constituent blocks. The results of this study yield a general formula for the inverse of a 3x3 block matrix that can be applied to matrices of various dimensions, as long as the non-singularity requirement is met. The obtained formula simplifies inverse calculations compared to direct inverse methods for large matrices, as the process can be broken down into inverse calculations for smaller blocks. Numerical examples are provided to demonstrate the validity of the method and the agreement of the results with conventional inverse calculations. This research is expected to serve as a reference in the development of matrix computation methods, particularly in optimizing calculations in applied linear algebra, numerical analysis, and mathematical modeling.
