Abstract

INDONESIA: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran motivasi berprestasi anak tunarungu yang bersekolah di SLBN Cicendo Bandung. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu kualitatif dengan metode Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). Subjek dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari tiga orang siswa tunarungu SLB Cicendo yang memiliki prestasi. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara dan obsservasi kepada tiga orang siswa sebagai subjek utama dan dua orang significant other dari masing-masing subjek yaitu guru dan orang tua. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa anak tunarungu yang berprestasi di SLBN Cicendo memiliki motivasi berprestasi yang kuat yang terbentuk dari dalam maupun dari luar diri melalui dukungan sosial, kebutuhan akan pencapaian, dan pengalaman prestasi sebelumnya. Penelitian ini memberikan pemahaman terkait pengalaman yang subjektif pada masing-masing partisipan dalam membangun motivasi berprestasi. ENGLISH: This study aims to explore the achievement motivation of deaf students attending SLBN Cicendo Bandung. A qualitative approach was used in this study is the Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) method. The participants consisted of three deaf students in SLBN Cicendo who have notable achievements. Data were collected through interviews and observations involving the three students as main subjects and two significant others for each—namely their teachers and parents. The results show that the high-achieving deaf students at SLBN Cicendo possess strong achievement motivation, which is shaped by both internal and external factors, including social support, the need for achievement, and prior successful experiences. This study provides insights into the subjective experiences of each participant in developing their achievement motivation.
