Abstract
ENGLISH: Creative thingking is an essential 21st-century skill required for students to solve complex problem and integrate academic concepts into daily life. Consequently, instructional models that effectively foster these skills are highly necessary. This study aims to analyze the differences in the improvement of students’ creative thinking skills through the implementation of CTL and DL models within the topic of the digestive system. The research employed a quasi-experimental classes, each comprising 39 students. Research instruments included observation sheets to assess learning implementation, creative thinking skill tests, and students response questionnaires. The result indicated that the implementation of both models reached the “excellent” category. The improvement in creative thinking skills in the CTL class recorded an N-Gain score of 0.70, while the DL Class achieved an N-Gain of 0.788, both falling into the “high” category. Furthermore, the independent sample t-test yielded Sig.(2- tailed) value of 0.009 (<0.05), indicating a significant difference in the improvement between the two models. In conclusion, DL is more effective than Contextual Teaching and Learning in enchacing students’
