Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya motivasi akademik pada mahasiswa, khususnya mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh self-esteem dan social support terhadap academic motivation pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kauntitatif dengan desain kausalitas. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu non probability sampling dengan metode convinience sampling, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 340 mahasiswa. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan meliputi Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES), Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS), dan Academic Motivation Scale (AMS). Data dianalisis menggunakan regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa self-esteem dan social support berpengaruh signifikan terhadap academic motivation secara parsial (β = 1,369; β = 0,462; p < 0,05) maupun simultan (F = 115,131; p < 0,05), dengan kontribusi sebesar 40,6%. Disimpulkan bahwa kedua variabel berperan sebagai faktor pendukung terhadap academic motivation.
