Abstract

INDONESIA: Penggunaan pupuk anorganik yang tidak seimbang dapat memberi dampak negatif bagi pertanian berkelanjutan dan pertumbuhan tanaman. Perbaikan metode pemupukan menjadi sebuah upaya untuk mengefisiensikan penggunaan pupuk anorganik serta meningkatkan produktivitas tanaman. Perbedaan metode penentuan dosis pupuk N, P, dan K berpotensi menghasilkan rekomendasi dosis pupuk yang berbeda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui metode penentuan dosis pupuk N, P, dan K yang terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman terung ungu (Solanum melongena L). Penelitian dilaksanakan di Lahan Percobaan Kampus II Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Gunung Djati, Jalan Cimincrang, Kelurahan Cimenerang, Kecamatan Gedebage, Kota Bandung. Metode penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) terdiri dari 6 perlakuan dan diulang sebanyak 4 kali. Setiap unit percobaan menggunakan 2 unit tanaman sehingga diperoleh 48 unit tanaman. Rancangan perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu A = Pemupukan metode perhitungan jumlah populasi tanaman; B = 25% > Pemupukan metode perhitungan jumlah populasi tanaman; C = 50% > Pemupukan metode perhitungan jumlah populasi tanaman; D = Pemupukan metode perhitungan berat tanah; E = 25% > Pemupukan metode perhitungan berat tanah; F = 50 % > Pemupukan metode perhitungan berat tanah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ragam metode penentuan dosis pupuk N, P, dan K berpengaruh nyata terhadap luas daun per tanaman, jumlah buah per tanaman dan grading, tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter lain seperti tinggi tanaman, warna daun, bobot segar buah per tanaman dan indeks panen. Perlakuan metode penentuan dosis pupuk N, P, dan K berdasarkan berat tanah (D) merupakan metode terbaik yang memberikan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman terung ungu (Solanum melongena L.). ENGLISH: The use of unbalanced inorganic fertilizers can have negative impacts on sustainable agriculture and plant growth. Improving fertilization methods is an effort to make the use of inorganic fertilizers more efficient and to increase crop productivity. Differences in methods for determining N, P, and K fertilizer doses can potentially result in different fertilization recommendations. This study aims to find the best method for determining N, P, and K fertilizer doses for the growth and yield of purple eggplant (Solanum melongena L). The research was conducted at the Experimental Field of Campus II, State Islamic University Sunan Gunung Djati, Jalan Cimincrang, Cimenerang Village, Gedebage District, Bandung City. The research method used a Randomized Block Design consisting of 6 treatments and repeated 4 times. Each experimental unit used 2 plants, resulting in 48 plants. The treatment plans given were A = Fertilization using a method to calculate the number of plants; B = 25% > Fertilization using a method to calculate the number of plants; C = 50% > Fertilization using a method to calculate the number of plants; D = Fertilization using a method to calculate soil weight; E = 25% > Fertilization using a method to calculate soil weight; F = 50% > Fertilization using a method to calculate soil weight. The research results showed that the different methods for determining the doses of N, P, and K fertilizers had a significant effect on leaf area per plant, number of fruits per plant, and grading, but did not significantly affect other parameters such as plant height, leaf color, fresh fruit weight per plant, and harvest index. The fertilization method based on soil weight (D) was the best method that produced the growth and yield of eggplants (Solanum melongena L.).
