Abstract
Hama ulat grayak (Spodoptera litura) merupakan salah satu hama primer yang menyerang tanaman selada (Lactuca sativa) yang dapat mengakibatkan penurunan produksi tanaman selada. Pengendalian hama biasa menggunakan pestisida sintetik namun penggunaan pestisida sintetik secara terus menerus dapat berdampak negatif pada lingkungan, oleh sebab itu digunakan pestisida nabati sebagai alternatif lain. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektifitas pestisida daun kecubung dan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi yang efektif dalam menekan populasi ulat grayak (Spodoptera litura). Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) sederhana dengan 6 perlakuan yaitu kontrol tanpa pemberian pestisida daun kecubung (p0), konsentrasi 30% (p1), konsentrasi 35% (p2), konsentrasi 40% (p3), konsentrasi 45% (p4) dan konsentrasi 50% (p5). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa p5 merupakan perlakuan yang menyebabkan tingkat mortalitas tertinggi yaitu 50,52%. Tingkat konsentrasi dapat mempengaruhi tingkat mortalitas, sementara tingkat mortalitas akan berpengaruh pada intensitas kerusakan tanaman dan berat hasil panen tanaman. Spodoptera litura was one of the primary pests that attack the lettuce plants (Lactuca sativa) which can cause decreased the lettuce plants production. Control of common pests using synthetic pesticide but the continuous use of synthetic pesticide can cause a negative impact to the environment, and because of that natural pesticide is being use as an alternative. The purpose of this research were to know the effectiveness of amethyst leaves pesticide and to know the effective concentration to suppress the grayak caterpillar pest (Spodoptera litura) population. This research was using Group Randomized Design (Rancangan Acak Kelompok) with 6 treatments, which are control/without amethyst leaves pesticide (p0), 30% concentration (p1), 35% concentration (p2), 40% concentration (p3), 45% concentration (p4) and 50% concentration (p5). The result of this research shows that the p5 treatment give the highest mortality level (50,52%). Concentrate level can affect mortality level, meanwhile mortality level can affect to plant damage and the crop yields.
