Abstract

INDONESIA : Cabai rawit (Capsicum frutescens L.), yaitu tanaman hortikultura banyak dibudidayakan di Indonesia yang mempunyai potensi nilai jual dan konsumsi cukup besar. Permintaan cabai rawit yang relatif stabil mendorong petani untuk membudidayakannya secara terus-menerus tanpa mempertimbangkan faktor lingkungan. Kondisi ini berdampak pada menurunnya hasil produksi. Penurunan produksi cabai rawit disebabkan oleh rendahnya kesuburan tanah akibat penggunaan pupuk anorganik yang berlebihan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kombinasi jenis pupuk organik dan varietas cabai rawit untuk meningkatkan hasil produksi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dari bulan Maret hingga bulan Juli 2026. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Petak Terbagi (Split-plot) terdiri atas 2 faktor. Petak utama yaitu tiga jenis pupuk organik serta anak petak yaitu lima varietas tanaman cabai rawit dengan 3 kali ulangan. Hasil penelitian terlihat adanya pengaruh dari lima varietas tanaman cabai rawit terhadap respons pertumbuhan tanaman (tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, umur berbunga, jumlah bunga, waktu muncul buah, jumlah buah per tanaman, panjang buah dan diameter buah). Berdasarkan hasil analisis data setiap varietas tanaman menunjukan penampilan yang berbeda-beda karena di pengaruhi oleh genetik varietas tanaman itu sendiri. Kelima varietas ini dapat direkomendasikan untuk budidaya tanaman cabai rawit karena setiap varietas tanaman menunjukan keunggulannya masing-masing. ENGLISH : Chili Pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.) is a horticultural crop widely cultivated in Indonesia that has significant potential for both market value and consumption. The relatively stable demand for bird’s eye chili encourages farmers to cultivate it continuously without considering environmental factors. This situation has led to a decline in production yields. The decline in bird’s eye chili production is caused by low soil fertility resulting from excessive use of inorganic fertilizers. This study aims to identify combinations of organic fertilizer types and bird’s eye chili varieties to increase production yields. The study was conducted from March to July 2026. The analysis method used in this study was a split-plot design consisting of two factors. The main plots consisted of three types of organic fertilizers, while the subplots consisted of five chili pepper varieties, each with three replicates. The results showed that the five chili pepper varieties influenced plant growth responses (plant height, number of leaves, time to flowering, number of flowers, time to fruit set, and number of fruits per plant). Based on the data analysis, each chili pepper variety exhibited different performance due to the genetic characteristics of the varieties themselves. These five varieties can be recommended for chili pepper cultivation because each variety demonstrates its own unique advantages.
