Abstract

ENGLISH: This study aims to determine the influence of self-regulation and perceptions of parenting styles on resilience among students at SMAIT Kharisma Darussalam. Students in a boarding school environment face various academic, social, and dormitory-life demands; therefore, self-regulation skills and parental support are necessary to foster resilience in facing these challenges. This study employs a quantitative approach with a causal design. The sample consisted of 70 students selected using total sampling. Research instruments included the Hardiness Resilience Gauge (HRG), the Short Self-Regulation Questionnaire (SSRQ), and the Parental Authority Questionnaire-Short (PAQ-S). Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with the aid of SPSS. The results indicate that self-regulation and perceptions of parental parenting styles significantly influence student resilience, both partially and simultaneously. This study underscores the importance of strengthening self-regulation and parental parenting styles in enhancing student resilience within a boarding school environment. INDONESIA: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh regulasi diri dan persepsi pola asuh orang tua terhadap ketangguhan pada siswa SMAIT Kharisma Darussalam. Siswa di lingkungan sekolah berasrama dihadapkan pada berbagai tuntutan akademik, sosial, dan kehidupan asrama sehingga diperlukan kemampuan mengatur diri serta dukungan dari orang tua untuk membentuk ketangguhan dalam menghadapi berbagai tantangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain kausalitas. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 70 siswa yang diambil menggunakan teknik total sampling. Instrumen penelitian meliputi Hardiness Resilience Gauge (HRG), Short Self-Regulation Questionnaire (SSRQ), dan Parental Authority Questionnaire-Short (PAQ-S). Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan regresi linear berganda dengan bantuan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa regulasi diri dan persepsi pola asuh orang tua berpengaruh signifikan terhadap ketangguhan siswa, baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya penguatan regulasi diri dan pola asuh orang tua dalam meningkatkan ketangguhan siswa di lingkungan sekolah berasrama.
