Abstract

In comparative literary work,the two authors must have a different point of view of the perfection value in their works,especially to describe the main characters in their works.This study focuses on analysis the value of perfection on the main character influenced by social author environment such as chracteristic,surrrounding, life choices and the familywhich can be found through the analysis of the sociology of literature. This research is aim atfinding out two research question: 1) perfection value of the main characters. 2) comparison of the perfection value which is achieved by main characters. Perfection's theory which is used in this research to explain the context of perfection value of the main characters. The wraiter also uses of sociology of literature finding the two of princesses to be the benchmark of perfection value for the main character,to find two princesses to be the benchmark of perfection value for the main characters, and the researcher also uses two princess characters from each of literary works. In analyzing the data, the researcher uses qualitative method to interpret the data descriptively. The data is taken from novel Cinderella and novel Panah Asmara Srikandia bout the perfection value in dialogueexplain characteristic, surrounding, a life choice and family. In doing this research, the perfection value of the main character is classified in four types of perfection value from the two novels there are the research has found 26 data. From the 26 data of found the whole of perfection value such as 6 data for the charcteristic, 8 data for the choice of life, 6 data for surrounding, 6 data for family and 13 data Cinderella and 13 data Srikandi comparison of achievement perfection value of two main characters. The results of this research showthat a person's perfection value is limited by society's view of something it happens because the community has made their views on something they believe by seeing a picture of something in the past and become a stigma they trust.
