Abstract

INDONESIA: Proses internalisasi nilai-nilai Al-Qur'an pada anak usia sekolah dasar sering kali terhambat oleh dominasi metode ceramah konvensional yang bersifat abstrak dan tekstual, sehingga memicu kebosanan serta rendahnya retensi ingatan jangka panjang anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan dan menguji kelayakan konseptual rancangan visualisasi Surah Al-Fiil melalui media buku pop-up berbasis stimulus visual mnemonic yang interaktif dan menarik sebagai sarana pembelajaran Al-Qur'an bagi anak. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan mengadaptasi empat tahapan utama: analisis dan pengumpulan data (observasi 30 siswa kelas awal serta telaah kitab Tafsir Al-Misbah dan Tafsir Al-Azhar), perancangan (design), produksi (development purwarupa), serta evaluasi melalui expert judgment dan uji coba kelompok kecil (small-group) terhadap 7 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa purwarupa buku tafsir pop-up berbentuk landscape dengan mekanik V-fold dan pull-tab dinyatakan sangat layak dan valid, baik dari segi substansi materi tafsir maupun teknis rekayasa kertas. Integrasi visual tiga dimensi berhasil mentransformasikan pesan teologis yang abstrak menjadi representasi konkret, meningkatkan fokus, serta memperkuat memory encoding anak. Kesimpulannya, buku tafsir pop-up Surah Al-Fiil ini efektif bertindak sebagai stimulus visual mnemonic yang mengoptimalkan daya ingat jangka panjang anak. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi akademis baru pada bidang Ilmu Al-Qur'an dan Tafsir melalui pemodelan metodologi tafsir visual tematik anak yang menyinergikan teks otoritatif mufasir Nusantara dengan psikologi perkembangan kognitif. ENGLISH: The internalization of Qur'anic values in elementary school children is often hindered by the dominance of abstract and textual conventional lecture methods, leading to boredom and low long-term memory retention. This study aims to design and test the conceptual feasibility of visualizing Surah Al-Fiil through an interactive, aesthetic, and engaging pop-up book medium based on visual mnemonic stimuli for children's Qur'anic learning. The methodology employs the Research and Development (R&D) approach, comprising four main stages: analysis and data collection (observation of 30 early-grade students and a literature study of Tafsir Al-Misbah and Tafsir Al-Azhar), design, development of the prototype, and evaluation through expert judgment and a small-group evaluation involving 7 students. The results indicate that the landscape-formatted pop-up tafsir book prototype, utilizing V-fold and pull-tab mechanics, is highly feasible and valid in terms of both tafsir substance and media engineering. The integration of three-dimensional visuals successfully transforms abstract theological messages into concrete representations, thereby enhancing focus and strengthening children's memory encoding. In conclusion, the Surah Al-Fiil pop-up tafsir book effectively functions as a visual mnemonic stimulus that optimizes long-term memory retention. This research provides a new academic contribution to the field of Qur'anic Studies and Exegesis (Tafsir) by developing a thematic visual tafsir methodology for children that synthesizes authoritative Indonesian exegeses with cognitive developmental psychology.
