Abstract
Telah dilakukan penelitian mengenai kemurnian air zamzam untuk menjawab kecurigaan masyarakat mengenai air zamzam yang beredar secara komersial, banyak masyarakat yang berasumsi bahwa air zamzam komersial bukan merupakan air zamzam asli. Penelitian ini dilakukan mengenai hubungan konduktivitas listrik dengan kesadahan pada sampel air zamzam dan air tawar alami lainnya dengan menggunakan sampel air zamzam yang diperoleh dari Makkah dan air tawar alami (air sumur pesisir pantai, air sumur bor, air sumur pemukiman, air gunung, air danau, dan air hujan) serta digunakan sampel air alami yang dicampurkan dengan air zamzam dengan perbandingan 1:1 untuk menentukan perbedaan karakteristik baik secara fisika dan kimia sehingga kemurnian air zamzam dapat dibedakan dengan air alami lainnya. Digunakan metode grafik skrining dengan menggunakan nilai konduktivitas listrik terhadap kesadahan, kalsium, magnesium, klorida, dan sulfat dalam air. Selain itu, dilakukan metode grafik skrining pada nilai konduktivitas listrik terhadap TDS dan resistivitas air. Dalam penelitian ini, nilai koefisien korelasi menjadi penentu baik tidaknya metode grafik skrining. Diperoleh nilai koefisien korelasi yang paling baik yaitu hubungan konduktivitas listrik terhadap sulfat untuk sampel air zamzam dan air tawar alami yang tidak dicampurkan, serta hubungan konduktivitas listrik terhadap kesadahan pada sampel air zamzam yang dicampurkan dengan air alami lainnya. Selain itu juga, dihasilkan suatu metode penentu kemurnian air zamzam yang tidak dapat dipisahkan antara keduanya yaitu dengan melihat nilai konduktivitas listrik yang memiliki nilai pada kisaran 600 μS/cm dan nilai kesadahan total pada kisaran 140-200 mg CaCO3/L untuk air zamzam. Research has been conducted on the purity of zamzam water to answer people’s suspicions about zamzam water is commercially circulated, many people assume that commercial zamzam water is not genuine zamzam water. This research was conducted on the relationship of electrical conductivity with hardness in zamzam and othe natural water samples using zamzam water samples obtained from the city of Makkah and natural water (coastal well water, wellbore well water, residential water, mountain water, water lake, and rainwater) and used natural water samples mixed with zamzam water with a ratio 1:1 to determine differences in characteristics both physically and chemically so that the purity of zamzam water can be distinguished from other natural water. A graph screening method is used using the value of electrical conductivity to hardness, calcium, magnesium, chloride, and sulfate in water. In addition, a graph screening method is performed on the value of electrical conductivity to TDS and water resistivity. In this research, the correlation coefficient value determines whethers or not the graph screening method. Obtained the best correlation coefficient value is the relationship of electrical conductivity to sulfate for zamzam water and unmixed natural water, and the relationship of electrical conductivity to hardness in zamzam water samples mixed with other natural water. In addition, a method of determining the purity of zamzam water is inseparable between the two, by looking at the value of electrical conductivity which has a value in the range 600 µS/cm and the total hardness value in the range 0f 140-200 mg CaCO3/L to zamzam water.
