Abstract

This study analyzed the Religion as Moral Value l of the ten english-language lyrics Sami Yusuf's work in the album My Ummah.This study used the theory of William Wordsworth about morals in literature. Researchers found data about the moral message in the lyrics of the song that contains moral messages such as helping each others, respecting parents, politeness, keeping the peace, and repent. The values of Islam, researchers get the data from the books pertaining to Islamic teachings and moral values in Islam. Descriptive qualitative method used by researchers to find the results. The data collected in this study come from the lyrics of songs in the album My Ummah Sami Yusuf's work that shows the moral message of the lyrics are rooted in Islamic values. Based on the explanation of Islamic values into moral message in the lyrics of songs by Sami Yusuf, moral message was found in 10 title song by Sami Yusuf in album My Ummah as a moral message about helping each other in the song "My Ummah", "Try Not to Little Cry","Make a Prayer","Eid song","We Will Never Submit", the moral message about respecting parents in the song,"Mother", the moral message of politeness in the song"Free", the moral message about keeping the peace in the song "Muhammad", and the moral message of repent in the song, "Ya Rasullulah" and "Hasbi Rabbi". Researchers found Islamic values contained in the moral value in the lyrics of the song in the album works of Sami Yusuf My Ummah. Islamic values are present as a moral message in the lyrics of the song, derived from the teachings of Islam and the Qur'an, which teaches respect for fellow human beings, compassion and respecting parents, respect for others and behave in manners as a Muslim, keep the peace between religious communities and repent if committing sin and stay away from bad deeds and do good deeds, as well as in Islam are also taught about maintaining good relations with Allah and man. Penelitian ini menganalisis tentang agama yang menjadi nila moral dalam sepuluh lirik lagu berbahasa inggris karya Sami Yusufdi dalam album My Ummah Penelitian ini menggunakan teori William Wordsworth tentang moral di dalam karya sastra. Peneliti menemukan data tentang pesan moral dari lirik lagu yang berisi tentang pesan moral seperti menolong orang lain, menghormati orang tua, kesopanan, menjaga perdamaian, dan taubat. Nilai-nilai Islam, peneliti mendapatkan data dari buku-buku yang berkaitan dengan nilai ajaran Islam dan moral di dalam Islam. Metode deskriptif yang digunakan oleh peneliti untuk menemukan hasil penelitian. Data dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini didapat dari lirik lagu dalam album My Ummah karya Sami Yusuf menunjukkan pesan moral dari lirik lagu yang bersumber pada nilai Islam. Berdasarkan penjelasan dari nilai Islam yang menjadi pesan moral dalam lirik lagu karya Sami Yusuf, pesan moral yang ditemukan dalam 10judul lagu karya Sami Yusuf pada album My Ummah seperti pesan moral tentang helping each other di dalam lagu “My Ummah”,”Try Not to Little Cry”,”Make a Prayer”, “Eid Song”,“We Will Never Submit”, pesan moral tentang respecting parents dalam lagu, “Mother”, pesan moral tentang politeness dalam lagu “Free”, pesan moral tentang keeping the peace dalam lagu”Muhammad”, dan pesan moral tentang repent dalam lagu, “Ya Rasullulah”dan “Hasbi Rabbi”. Peneliti menemukan Nilai moral yang terdapat dalam Agama di dalam lirik lagu karya Sami Yusuf dalam album My Ummah.Nilai Islam yang hadir sebagai pesan moral di dalam lirik lagu, berasal dari ajaran agama Islam, dan Al-Qur’an, yang mengajarkan untuk saling menghormati sesama manusia, menyayangi dan menghormati orang tua, menghargai orang lain dan berperilaku sopan santun sebagai seorang muslim, menjaga perdamaian antar umat beragama dan bertaubat jika melakukan dosa serta menjauhi perbuatan buruk dan mengerjakan perbuatan baik, serta dalam islam juga diajarkan tentang menjaga hubungan baik dengan Allah dan manusia
