Abstract
INDONESIA Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsentrasi gula dari singkong sebagai sumber karbon pengganti sukrosa yang efektif untuk multiplikasi tanaman Nilam Aceh (Pogostemon cablin Benth.) secara in vitro. Penelitian dilakukan di Laboratorium Terpadu Kultur Jaringan, Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. Metode menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan faktor perlakuan pemberian gula singkong 2%, 4%, 6% dan 8% perliter media. Semua perlakuan dilakukan 4 kali pengulangan. Parameter yang diamati adalah jumlah daun, tinggi batang, jumlah akar dan jumlah tunas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian gula singkong berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter jumlah daun dan jumlah tunas terbaik adalah pemberian gula singkong 4% serta jumlah akar dan tinggi batang terbaik adalah dengan pemberian gula singkong 2%. ENGLISH The aim of this experiment was to determine liquid cassava sugar concentration. Tissue culture methods is considered as the most effective for nilam multiplication on basal medium of Murashige and Skoog (1962) (MS) supplemented with luquid cassava sugar. This study was experimented in the Laboratory of plant tissue culture, Islamic State University Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. The treatment using factorial completely randomized design (CRD) with several concentrations of liquid cassava sugar were 2%, 4%, 6% and 8%. The highest precentages of shoot and leaves formation shown on basal medium with 4% of liquid cassava sugar and the root formation and shoot height shown on basal medium with 2% of liquid cassava sugar.
