Abstract

INDONESIA Kebutuhan akan cabai merah yang terus meningkat dari tahun ke tahun harus diimbangi dengan produksi yang tinggi agar dapat mencukupi kebutuhan cabai merah di pasaran sehingga perlu inovasi teknologi untuk meningkatkan produktivitas cabai merah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan aplikasi pupuk kompos daun gamal (Gliricidia sepium) dan jenis mulsa terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman cabai merah (Capsicum annum L) dilakukan di Desa Tegalluar Kecamatan Bojongsoang Kabupaten Bandung sejak Bulan Oktober 2014 sampai dengan Januari 2015. Metode yang digunakan adalah experimental berupa Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) pola Faktorial dengan 2 faktor, faktor pertama adalah pupuk kompos daun gamal (K) Dengan 3 tarap dosis yaitu K1 = Kontrol,Tanpa pupuk kompos daun gamal K2 = pupuk kompos daun gamal 10 t.ha-1 = 4,8 kg/petak K3 = pupuk kompos daun gamal 20 t.ha-1 9,8 kg/petak. Jenis mulsa (M) M1 = Kontrol, tanpa mulsa, M2 = Mulsa plastik hitam perak, M3 = mulsa jerami 5 t.ha-1. Hasil penelitian menunjukan pemberian pupuk kompos daun gamal berpengaruh terhadap tinggi tanaman pada umur 21, 28 dan 35, jumlah daun 28 dan 35, bobot buah segar, bobot buah kering, bobot berangkasan kering tanaman dan nisbah pupus akar. Sedangkan penggunaan mulsa plastik hitam perak (m2) berpengaruh terhadap tinggi tanaman pada umur 35 HST, jumlah daun pada umur 35 HST, bobot segar buah, bobot kering buah, jumlah buah per tanaman, bobot kering berangkasan dan nisbah pupus akar. Penggunaan dosis 20 t.ha-1 kompos daun gamal dan pemakaian mulsa plastik hitam perak berpengaruh baik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman cabai merah. ENGLISH The need of red chili increasing from year to year should be offset by higher production in order to meet the need of red chilli in the market so that the necessary technological innovation to improve the productivity of red chili. This research aimed to determine the effect of the application of leaves gamal compost (Gliricidia sepium) and the type of mulch on the growth of red pepper plant (Capsicum annum L) carried out in the village Tegalluar Bojongsoang District of Bandung regency since in October 2014 to January 2015. The method used is an experimental of randomized block design (RAK) factorial pattern with two factors, the first factor is leaves gamal compost (K) with 3 doses level K1= Control, Without leaf compost K2 = leaves gamal compost 10 t.ha-14.8 kg / plot K3 = leaves gamal compost 20 t.ha-1 = 9.8 kg / plot. Types of mulch (M) M1 control, without mulch, M2 = silver black plastic mulch, straw mulch M3 = jerami 5 t.ha-1. The results showed leaves gamal compost fertilizer independently significant effect on plant height at 21, 28 and 35, 28 and 35 the number of leaves, fresh weight of fruit, fruit dry weight, dry weight berangkasan and ratio dashed roots. While on treatment mulch, black plastic mulch silver (m2) obtained the highest results in all parameters of the main observations and independently significant of plant height at 35 days after planting, the number of leaves at the age of 35 days after planting, fresh fruit weight, fruit dry weight, number of fruit by the plants, dry weight berangkasan and ratio dashed roots. Leaves gamal compost dose is the most appropriate is treatment level K3 ( 20 t.ha-1 ) = 9.8 kg / plot is the best level and used black plastic mulch silver (MPHP).
