Abstract
This research describes the finding, the category, and the realization of the adjunct. The object is football news in The Jakarta Post (Juny-July 2016) are taken in sequentially. Football news is a form communication that used to inform all about football for the people loved very much about football. The method is qualitative descriptive method. It is used to describe the findings, the categories and the realizations of the adjunct that have used in football news in The Jakarta Post newspaper. The process of collecting data, the writer used the literary study. After collected the data, the researcher analyze the data which the findings, the categories, the realizations and make a conclusion. The results of this research indicate that there are 59 data that have used adjuncts in football news in the articles (Juny-July 2016). There are 10 manner adjuncts, 10 degree adjuncts, 13 time adjuncts, 12 location adjuncts, and 14 instrument adjuncts. In those seven football articles, adjuncts have been realized by noun phrase, adverbial phrases and prepositional phrases.
