Abstract
INDONESIA: Sifat koligatif merupakan sifat larutan yang ditentukan oleh jumlah molekul atau ion yang terdapat di dalam larutan. Hubungan antar sifat koligatif dapat dikaji berdasarkan berat jenis larutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan hubungan antara berat jenis dengan sifat koligatif dari campuran larutan (NaCl, KCl, Na-Benzoat) dan air zamzam. Tahap-tahap penelitian ini terdiri atas preparasi sampel, variasi berat jenis, pengukuran berat jenis (ρ), dan pengukuran tekanan osmosis (π) dengan menggunakan osmometer. Data hasil pengukuran tekanan osmosis kemudian digunakan untuk menghitung penurunan titik beku dan kenaikan titik didih dari rumus yang sudah diturunkan. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa jumlah molekul zat terlarut dalam campuran larutan garam (NaCl, KCl, dan Na-Benzoat) akan mempengaruhi sifat koligatif pada larutan tersebut, sehingga pada hubungan sifat koligatif (tekanan osmosis, penurunan titik beku, dan kenaikan titik didih) terhadap berat jenis menunjukkan hasil yang linier. Akan tetapi penentuan sifat koligatif berdasarkan berat jenis (ρ) tidak dapat diberlakukan terhadap air zamzam karena pada air zamzam terdapat ion-ion yang mudah terdekomposisi jika variasi berat jenis dilakukan dengan cara penguapan. ENGLISH: The colligative properties of the solution properties are determined by the number of molecules or ions contained in the solution. Relations between colligative properties may be assessed, based on the density of the solution. This study aims to determine the relationship between the density of the colligative properties of a mixed solution (NaCl, KCl, Na Benzoate) and zamzam water. The stages of this research consists of sample preparation, variation of density, specific gravity measurement (ρ), and the measurement of the osmotic pressure (π) by using osmometer. Osmotic pressure measurement is then used to calculate the freezing point depression and boiling point elevation of the formula that has been lowered. The result showed that the number of solute molecules in a mixture of saline solution (NaCl, KCl, and Na-Benzoate) will affect the colligative properties in the solution, so that the relationship colligative properties (osmotic pressure, freezing point depression and boiling point elevation) to density showed linear results. But the determination of colligative properties based on the density (ρ) can’t be enforced against zamzam water because there zamzam water ions easily decomposed if the variation of density is done by evaporation.
