Abstract

INDONESIA Kualitas produk wortel yang kurang baik seperti kecilnya umbi wortel akan menurunkan nilai ekonomi dan berdampak berkurangnya pendapatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mempelajari respon varietas terhadap jarak tanam pada pertumbuhan dan bobot hasil tanaman wortel (Daucus carota L.). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Pasirhalang Kec.Cisarua Kab.Bandung Barat dengan ketinggian 1100 m dpl. Percobaan dilakukan dari bulan Juni sampai September 2016. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode Rancangan petak terpisah (Split Plot) dua faktor yaitu faktor satu varietas (Kuroda EW Select, New Kuroda, Red Judy) dan faktor dua jarak tanam (7,5 cm × 7,5 cm, 10 cm × 10 cm, 12,5 cm × 12,5 cm dan 15 cm × 15 cm) sehingga terdapat 12 satuan percobaan yang diulangi sebanyak tiga kali. Uji lanjut yang digunakan adalah Uji Jarak Berganda Duncan (UJBD). Hasil Penelitan menunjukan bahwa interaksi antara varietas dan jarak tanam berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman wortel (tinggi tanaman pada umur 90 HST, nisbah pupus akar, dan bobot umbi). Pengaruh mandiri terlihat berpengaruh nyata pada semua parameter pengamatan yaitu tinggi tanaman, lebar tajuk, berat basah brangkasan, bobot umbi, panjang umbi, berat kering tanaman, dan nisbah pupus akar. Perlakuan varietas Kuroda EW Select dan jarak tanam 15 cm × 15 cm menghasilkan tinggi tanaman, lebar tajuk, berat basah brangkasan, berat kering tanaman, panjang umbi, dan bobot umbi. ENGLISH The quality product of carrot that was not quite good, such as small carrot, will decrease economy value and decrease income instead. This research was purposed to know and study variety responses of plant space in growth and weight carrot yield product (Daucus carota L). This research was conducted at Desa Pasirhalang Kec. Cisarua Kab. Bandung Barat with 1100m above sea level. The research was start from June until September 2016. The method was used Split Plot 2 factors, respectively first variety factor (Kurota EW Select, New Kurota, Red Judy) and second plant space factors ( 7,5 cm x 7,5 cm, 10 cm x 10 cm, 12,5 cm x 12,5 cm and 15 cm x 15 cm) with 12 treatments unit repeated 3 times. Port hoc test was used Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The result of this research showed that interaction between variety and plant row space significant to yield parameter of carrot plant space (plant height in 90 HST, shoot root ratio, and root weight). Independent effect were gave significant to all observation parameter, they were plant height, canopy width, weight fresh plant, weight dry plant, shoot root ratio, root length, and root weight. Variety treatment Kuroda EW Select and plant space 15 cm x 15 cm give the highest result, in canopy width parameter, weight fresh plant, root weight, root length and weight dry plant.
