Abstract

INDONESIA Latar belakang penelitian ini adanya permasalah yang terdapat pada pembelajaran SKI di kelas VB MI Al-Islam Cidawolong Majalaya Kabupaten Bandung, bahwa hasil kemampuan pemahaman siswa belum mencapai KKM yang ditetapkan yaitu 60. Hal ini dapat terjadi karena pembelajaran yang hanya menggunakan metode ceramah dan penugasan serta kurang memanfaatkan media pembelajaran. Sehingga proses pembelajaran bersifat membosankan dan siswa kesulitan dalam memahami materi yang diajarkan.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui: 1) Hasil kemampuan pemahaman siswa terhadap mata pelajaran SKI sebelum diterapkannya Media Pembelajaran Timeline. 2) Proses penerapan Media Pembelajaran Timeline pada mata pelajaran SKI. 3) Hasil kemampuan pemahaman siswa setelah diterapkannya Media Pembelajaran Timeline terhadap mata pelajaran SKI pada setiap siklus. Penelitian ini didasarkan pada pemikiran bahwa hasil kemampuan pemahaman siswa ditentukan oleh banyak faktor, salah satunya adalah pemanfaatan media pembelajaran. Maka salah satu media yang dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran SKI adalah media timeline. Dalam pelaksanaanya media timeline dapat membuat pembelajaran menjadi lebih mudah dan efektif. Berdasarkan asumsi tersebut maka hipotesis yang diajukan adalah penerapan media timeline diduga dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa pada mata pelajaran SKI pokok bahasan Kisah Teladan Umar bin Khattab. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan melalui II siklus dan setiap siklusnya terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pegamatan dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tes, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh simpulan bahwa 1) Hasil kemampuan pemahaman siswa sebelum menggunakan media timeline masih rendah dengan nilai rata-rata 44,99 dan ketuntasan belajar siswa 23%. 2) Proses penerapan media timeline berjalan baik sesuai dengan tahapannya, aktivitas guru dan siswa mengalami peningkatan dalam setiap siklusnya. Pada siklus I aktivitas guru mencapai 80% kemudian meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 98% dengan kategori sangat baik. Sedangkan aktivitas belajar siswa pada siklus I mencapai 78,20% kemudian meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 85,90% dengan kategori sangat baik. 3) Hasil kemampuan pemahaman siswa setelah diterapkannya media timeline juga mengalami peningkatan. Pada siklus I persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa sebesar 80,76%, kemudian meningkat pada siklus II dengan persentase sebesar 92,3%. Pada akhir seluruh siklus persentase ketuntasan belajar sebesar 96,15%. Maka penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan telah selesai dengan tujuan yang diharapkan yakni dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman siswa pada mata pelajaran SKI pokok bahasan Kisah Teladan Umar bin Khattab. ENGLISH The background of this research is the problem found in SKI learning in the VB class of MI Al-Islam Cidawolong Majalaya Bandung Regency, that the results of students' comprehension abilities have not reached the specified KKM, which is 60. This can occur because learning only uses lecture and assignment methods and less use of learning media. So that the learning process is tedious and students have difficulty understanding the material being taught. The purpose of this study is to find out: 1) The results of students' ability to understand SKI subjects before the Timeline Learning Media is applied. 2) The process of implementing Learning Media Timeline on SKI subjects. 3) The results of students 'comprehension abilities after the implementation of the Timeline Learning Media on the SKI subjects in each cycle. This study is based on the thought that the results of students' understanding abilities are determined by many factors, one of which is the use of learning media. So one of the media that can be used in SKI learning is the media timeline. In implementing the media timeline can make learning easier and more effective. Based on these assumptions, the hypothesis proposed is that the application of the timeline media is expected to increase student understanding on the subject matter of the subject matter of the subject matter of the example of Umar bin Khattab. The research method used in this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR) through the two cycles and each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Data collection techniques in this study used tests, observation and documentation studies. Based on the analysis of the data obtained conclusions that 1) The results of students' comprehension skills before using the media timeline are still low with an average value of 44.99 and 23% student mastery learning. 2) The process of implementing the media timeline goes well in accordance with the stages, the activities of teachers and students have increased in each cycle. In the first cycle teacher activities reached 80% then increased in the second cycle to 98% with a very good category. While the learning activities of students in the first cycle reached 78.20% then increased in the second cycle to 85.90% with a very good category. 3) The results of students' comprehension abilities after the application of the timeline media also increased. In the first cycle the percentage of student learning completeness was 80.76%, then increased in the second cycle with a percentage of 92.3%. Then the classroom action research that has been carried out has been completed with the expected goal of being able to improve students' comprehension skills in the subject matter of the subject matter of the subject matter of the Story of the Example of Umar bin Khattab.
