Abstract

Religion and nationalism could emerge as opposing forces, even destroy each other. Conversely, if synergized will be a very powerful force, because uphold nationalism believed to be part of their jihad war even sabil. But clearly nationalism is a political reality. Map of countries around the world in fact is a map nationalism. There is no single country that has one religion, even though the majority of the population adheres to a particular religion. Dignity of human existence would be assured if living in a country imbued with religion, therefore, nationalism is a necessity, if you want to exist and live as a dignified human being. Nationalism is a product of modern civilization, rational, impossible can be built in a primitive society without the influence and pioneering modern society. On the other hand religious marginality expand the boundaries of nationalism, so as to bridge the boundaries of ethnicity or rasialitas, this is because religion sees all human beings have equal rights and duties before God.
