Abstract

Billingualism is a condition in using two or more language fluently. In another level, multilingualism is a condition to use more than two languages in daily conversation as fluently. In contemporary era, this phenomenon happens as a trend of people. This research was to describe the billingualism case that specifically in the case of code mixing. The study was descriptive qualitative one that took Sarah Sechan talk show program as the object of research. Even, it was the representation of contemporary communication, It because the guest star which was invited generally people who update their experiences with any kinds of social trend, including communication style. This research was on sociolonguistics study that focused on some types and motives of code mixing. In this case, the finding in types and motives describes the condition of billingualism capabilities. Furthermore, mostly types that were found are contained insertion, alternation, and congruent lexicalization. And then the motives mostly founded were oversight and insuficiently differentiated.
