Abstract

INDONESIA : Zeolit merupakan mineral aluminosilikat yang banyak digunakan dalam berbagai aplikasi, terutama dalam bidang lingkungan seperti adsorben dan penukar ion yang terbagi dalam dua kategori. Meskipun zeolit alam tersebar banyak, jenis ini memiliki kekurangan yaitu tidak spesifik, lain halnya dengan zeolit sintetis yang mudah dihasilkan juga lebih spesifik. Zeolit memiliki beberapa sifat salah satunya adalah mudahnya bertransformasi dalam kondisi tertentu secara termodinamika untuk menjadi zeolit yang lebih stabil. Ini membuktikan bahwa dari satu zeolit aluminosilikat dapat memperoleh banyak zeolit baru. Mudahnya transformasi ini pun menjadi kekurangan karena zeolit sulit didapatkan dalam kondisi murni karena mudahnya bertransformasi. Dalam penelitian ini, bertujuan untuk menentukan metastabilitas zeolit dengan perhitungan Kapustinskii yang telah dimodifikasi oleh Dede Suhendar dan Ismunandar. Hasil dari perhitungan tersebut pun akan dibandingkan dengan hasil perhitungan persamaan Yoder-Flora dengan jari-jari koordinasi dan jari-jari Goldschmidt (konfigurasi enam) sehingga didapatkan linearitas dengan bernilai mendekati 1. Dari persamaan Yoder-Flora pun dapat dimanfaatkan untuk mendapatkan ∆H° standar yang hasil akhirnya memiliki rentang nilai entalpi yang tidak jauh berbeda dari tiap zeolit sehingga menunjukkan bahwa zeolit memiliki metastabilitas. ENGLISH : Zeolite is an aluminosilicate mineral that is widely used in a variety of applications, especially in environmental fields such as adsorbents and ion exchangers which is divided into two categories. Although natural zeolites are widely distributed, this type has a disadvantage that is not specific, but the case with synthetic zeolites which are easily produced are also more specific. Zeolites have several properties, one of which is the easy to thermodynamically transform certain conditions to become a more stable zeolite. This proves that from one aluminosilicate zeolite can obtain many new zeolites. The ease with which this transformation becomes deficient is because zeolites are difficult to obtain in pristine conditions because they are easily transformed. In this study, the aim is to determine the zeolite metastability with Kapustinskii's calculations which have been modified by Dede Suhendar and Ismunandar. The results of these calculations will also be compared with the results of the calculation of the Yoder-Flora equation with different configurations, namely Goldschmidt and the original so that linearity is obtained close to 1. From the Yoder-Flora equation can also be used to obtain a standard ΔH° whose end result has a range of values enthalphy which is not much different from each zeolite so that it shows that zeolites have metastability.
