Abstract

This research analyzed Lady Chatterley's Lover by D.H Lawrence. The background of this research arises from the unique story of the Chatterley’s queen who was exploited by her husband and by gamekeeper that Lawrence described through the characters in the novel. Then, this research has two problem formulations, the first how is woman's body exploited in Lady Chatterley’s Lover, the second what is sexual objectification that makes woman’s body exploited in Lady Chatterley’s Lover. The result of this research is there are two elements who exploited by Clifford and Mellors, namely economic function and sexual function. Then there are six sexual objectification owned by Connie in Lady Chatterley's Lover such as instrumentality, denial of autonomy, inertness, fungibility, ownership, and denial of subjectivity.
