Abstract
Teacher certification is a process of improving the quality and competency testing of educators who are regulated by the government technically through the education office, which then provides teacher certificates that have been declared to meet professional standards. Teacher certification is also an effort of the government to improve the quality of teachers along with improving teacher welfare. Many teachers consider and complain that the certification process is not transparent, as many as 30% of teachers in Panembong 1 Primary School (Cianjur), assume that there are unclear procedures. As for those who stated there were certification candidate participants who did not meet the specified criteria but were able to take part in the teacher certification selection process caused by collusion and nepotism factors. This will not happen if the assessment is carried out using an effective method in selecting teacher certification participants, so as to help decision making and avoid mistakes or errors of many criteria and alternatives, a decision support system using a Analytical Hierarchy Process (meetode Analytical Hierarchy Process is needed) AHP) and Simple Additive Weighting (SAW).
