Abstract
This research analyzes the elements of personality and the factor influencing personality in main character of Sweeney Todd: The Demon of Barber of Fleet Street’s movie by Tim Burton. In this research, the researcher used the personality theory by Sigmund Freud. Freud divides the elements of personality into id, ego, and superego. The researcher also used descriptive qualitative methods in order the data of the research are in the form of words that getting from the source of Sweeney Todd: The Demon of Barber of Fleet Street’s movie and script, then the researcher took the pictures, dialogues, and prologs that were suspected as the elements of personality and the factors influencing personality. As the result, the id that has desire to revenge and kill with the realized by ego more showed in and dominated superego. And for the factors that influence Sweeney Todd’s personality, the personal factor such as experience, love, and emotion. Personal factor more showed than the situational factor such as social, psychosocial, and technology in influencing Todd’s personality.
